The Russian general staff managed to forget about Ukrainian mud and the winter in only a few decades.

France and Germany never got a chance to show if they remembered the Russian winter from the last time ... so at least they have a pretext to an excuse that they wouldn’t have forgotten.

Yeah, when you accuse your victim of escalating its defense you know you’re having problems.

‘Whenever the West and Ukraine appear to be winning’
*****************************************************

Stopped right there, Ukraine never appeared to be winning. Putting up a tough resistance to Russia at the beginning when they were well supplied, equipped and trained by the US/NATO is one thing, but at no point could it be said they were winning. They never had any hope of winning, they were just used as patsies for US geo-political interests.

They’re just making sure that the Neocons FULLY UNDERSTAND what the response is if they try hitting Moscow.

Think about it, if Russians based in Cuba launched missiles at Washington DC, would you not also want to retaliate?

...maybe don’t answer that.

Yeah, there are very big risks associated with conducting coups and providing weapons to the US backed former state of Ukraine on Russia’s border.

Sitting safely on the sidelines handing out weapons might not actually be that safe if pushed too far.

They never actually justified the use of nuclear weapons themselves but they have enough of them to turn a hundred cities to salt, all at once, all across the globe.

The good thing is it is clear they do not need nukes to fight poor proxy Ukraine.

Since the might of all of America and NATO doing their secret stuff Russia is allied with,
*drum roll please*
CHINA!
China can stop production to the US on a whim if it ever goes bad for Russia. They just did that during the start of the pandemic. What is it? 94% of all pharmaceuticals is imported to the US including 100% of Fentanyl?

Too bad this border dispute wasn’t handled locally. Too bad all these peace-loving warmongers have chosen sides when AMERICA is being run by a rogue government, brainwashed by communist media manifesto thumpers promoting the Azov brigade and their penis piano playing propped CIA shill when our southern border has 250,000 invaders per month promoting Chinese poison and sex slavery besides the extortion and blackmail.
So I ask, over and over again, why isn’t anyone looking at the real promoter of US unrest, a fortified election, divisive racism, promoting green new deals, promoting open borders and promoting media news slants for the Ukraine/Russian border war? Is anyone LOOKING at where this is all coming from?
Anyone?

Too bad no one NO ONE on these little pro-Ukraine threads is seeing the true profiteers and the dead American’s in the streets while we’re forced to sacrifice for the greater good...a line WHO, the CDC and China has been shoveling to American’s for years now.

This is not Ukraine versus Russia. This is China moving their chess pieces all over the world and inside America and this is a great diversion from the reality of America failing miserably as people are virtue signaling Russsia bad just like Hillary, Obama and the rest have been spewing since pre-impeach-Orange Man.

Rare earth materials are neccessary for modern warfare.

“China dominates the supply chain of rare earth elements, having 37 percent of proven reserves, producing 63 percent of global output, and housing about 85 percent of the processing capacity.”

I believe the Ukrainians are completing testing of drones that can reach Moscow. That's probably why the AA units have been mounted on buildings.

Doesn't exactly exude confidence from the Kremlin.

If the US invaded Cuba, yes I'd expect that.

Maybe the lesson is don't invade neighbors who are much stronger than they appear.

“Doesn’t exactly exude confidence from the Kremlin.”

I don’t know, would you suggest they do something else, given what the Neocons are now saying?

Likewise don’t provoke countries that still take their military seriously.

Stopping and throwing back to about 50% of the initial territorial gains of what was supposedly the world's second strongest military is certainly a victory of sorts.

It would as though the US invaded Mexico, got stopped just short of Mexico City and was driven back to the northern Mexican states.

Hardly borne out by said military's performance. The Russians love to BS about their military might. Looks to me like they believed their own BS.

And what provocation? You mean throwing out Putin's puppet Yanukovych? No one was being killed in Donbas until Putin sent his gangsters in supported by the Russian army.

“..Whenever the West and Ukraine appear to be winning and Ukraine is being strengthened, then Russia will roll out this talk.(nuclear)...”

However, Ukraine does not appear to be winning now, but losing both territory (incrementally) and manpower. If true, that counters the thesis of the article.

The Western media is now running plenty of TRUTHFUL stories about how Ukraine is now doing, but I guess they haven’t made it yet to CNN.

“They never had any hope of winning...”

You are wrong: They can win by not losing.
