Germany faced a strong backlash from allies on Saturday (Jan 21) over its refusal to supply Ukraine with its vaunted Leopard tanks to bolster its fighting capacity in the nearly year-long war with Russia.
On Friday, some 50 nations agreed to provide Kyiv with billions of dollars' worth of military hardware, including armoured vehicles and munitions needed to push back Russian forces.
But German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius told reporters on the sidelines of the event at the US Ramstein Air Base that despite heightened expectations, "we still cannot say when a decision will be taken, and what the decision will be, when it comes to the Leopard tank".

I would like to see Jordan send Ukraine their 400 retired British Challenger 1 tanks.
The Ukraine has plenty of tanks. It’s the Russians who are suffering all the losses. There’s a thread posted here every day documenting that fact.

The DC and London axis is desperate to shore up Germany because they correctly judge that the destruction of the German economy is wearing thin. Everyone knows it was the Brit/US Axis that blew up Nordstream and cut off Germany’s gas.
So they want to buffalo Germany into providing tanks to ensure they are involved.
It’s like hells angels making everyone fire a shot into their victim. The DC/London axis is pure evil.
Someday, some Challengers and Leopards will be in the Russian Museum beside the Panthers and Tigers from before.
Not a chance. Tanks in this day and age are useless without some big time support and coordination. A Uke rabble will be eaten alive.

Ukraine isn't taking back any of the annexed territory. It's losing on the ground to the Wagner group in Bahkmat, where what's left of its best troops remain.
If we entered the war, Ukraine wouldn't take Crimea. Anyone thinking otherwise is totally delusional.

They have plenty of Russian tanks with 125 mm guns. Western tanks are either 105mm or 120 mm guns. So all the Ukrainians need to do is buy the needed ammo from the Russians.
Same with artillery. Russian tends to be 100 mm or 152;, Western 105 or 155. I’d have to look it up, but I think I recall from my youth that Russia had 82mm mortars that would work with western 81mm ammo.
Any armored or artillery guys around that can confirm or correct?
