And the “do-gooders” insist that you can’t involuntarily commit these people to a treatment center to receive help. That would be inhumane! It’s best to let them die on the street with a needle in their arm and their pants down around their ankles, while wallowing in their own filth.

Does anyone think if these people were in their right mind, they would choose this way of life? Most of them never realized the decision they were making when they first let someone insert that needle into their arm. For I seriously doubt the majority of them, on the first time they “shot-up”, did it all on their own.

I agree. Involuntary commitment for 6-12 months to dry them out if they’re addicts, longer if they’re nuts.

Give the dealers two weeks notice to cease and desist. Air out anyone who doesn’t.

I knew five people that died before they were 25 years old. From heroin. They made bad choices and it killed them. One was a childhood buddy…

But nobody force them to stick that crap in themselves… It sucks, but that is the reality of it. And it’s a vicious cycle… Once in, it’s very hard to get out of it.
