2024 may seem far away, but President Donald Trump is already whittling down the field of potential opponents one by one. According to a new poll from the Economist/YouGov, among Republican and Independent/Republican-leaning respondents, President Trump is still the top choice for the Republican Party presidential nomination in 2024.

Per their results, 44 percent would like to see Trump as the nominee, while 32 percent would like to see Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

The results of this poll are similar to the most recent Morning Consult poll, which found that 48 percent of Republican voters preferred Trump as the nominee to DeSantis, who garnered 31 percent of support.

According to Interactive Polls, YouGov’s research has revealed that Trump has consistently regained staggering momentum in the aftermath of the 2022 midterm elections, with 45 percent of Republicans saying they would like to see Trump run for president again on Dec. 10, 2022. When polled on Dec. 17, 2022, 49 percent said they would like to see Trump run again.

2024 National Republican Primary

Donald Trump: 48%
Ron DeSantis: 28%
Mike Pence: 7%
Nikki Haley: 3%
Marco Rubio: 3%

Head-2-Head:
Donald Trump: 55%
Ron DeSantis: 45%

On Jan. 14, 2023, 59 percent of respondents indicated that they would like to see the 45th president once again make a bid to reclaim the White House.

According to YouGov, only 5 percent of voters prefer former Vice President Mike Pence and only 3 percent indicated that they would like to see Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, as the nominee.

Another new poll from Harvard CAPS-Harris has found that Trump is, yet again, the number one choice for Republican voters for the presidential nomination in 2024. This survey found that a whopping 48 percent of Republican voters would like to see Trump as the nominee, while 28 percent said they would like to see DeSantis. Pence netted 7 percent of support, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., netted 3 percent, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley managed to snag 3 percent of support in that poll, as well.

Impressively, the survey also found that in a head-to-head matchup, Republican respondents preferred Trump as the nominee with 55 percent, compared to DeSantis, who netted 45 percent of support.

Trump should be 100% because no one else has even announced yet.

Therefore, his CEILING, is 48%.

I’d like to see a Trump/DeSantis ticket. I hope comes back in with a big axe and after 4 years, DeSantis be president for 8 years.

I won’t vote for Trump in a Republican primary because of the too often fatal Trump vaccine. And I think that Trump will prove to be the Jeb Bush of the 2024 election.

DeSantis is hurt by losers like Eddie Munster declaring Trump a loser.

Trump skates in and DeSantis is smart enough to take money from the Aussie scumbags who employ Munster.

DeSantis isn’t running and is making Florida the California of the 60s. He’ll make FL an economic juggernaut and run off that.

Trump will have guac bowls a 4’2” wife and not win a state, despite spending $180mm?

Bold prediction. I like the cut of your Yeb.

Oh, no!!!

Trump must be indicted, PRONTO!!!

Biden is asking what Merrick Garland is waiting for. Garland must be fired, immediately, if he doesn’t do the democrats’ dirty work as they’ve been trying for 6 years now.

While I think it’s certain that he would easily walk away with the nomination, how does he expect to win, in light of three stolen elections in a row (2018, 2020, 2022)? If things remain as they are now, it wouldn’t matter if he got 100% of the vote.

OTOH, if enough States make radical changes to protect the elections, there’s a good chance.

Not bad for a guy who has not even announced yet. Of course, he’s actually has a job and doesn’t have time to run around the country.

I serously doubt the American Nobility will allow President Trump to be elected again.
I truly think Gavin Newsom has been chosen to be ‘elected’ president in 2024.

The people? With a record of mail in ballots, bumpstock bans, travel restrictions, operation warp speed for big pharma billions.. endless covid big government spending.
What human bing would support someone with that record. He turned this country into this full on democrat country with mail in ballots.. final nail in the coffin.
Want more of that… insanity.

Donnie better watch his mouth on a variety of issue such as the killer vaccine. He should distance himself from the poison and stop bragging that he was responsible for its ultimate distribution. He seems to becoming disconnected with reality.
