What in the world???
Total investment: $918 million
“support future EV strategies”: $8 million
“battery pack cooling lines for EV production”: $56 million
That’s $66 million out of $918 million for electric propulsion. That’s only 7%.
Did Toyota buy GM? This sounds like the Toyota CEO talking.
Did I miss something here?

“V8 EV” — it’s a tricky way to throw the greenies off.

General Dynamics should work with GM to make an EAbrams tank!
We could send them to Ukraine for real world testing.

GM once had the most reliable Gas V8’s. And V6’s too. Many of them based somehow on the original 350. As soon as they started improving them then reliability went to crap. Plastic everywhere.

You know what the EV buyer said, don’t you?
“I could’ve had a V-8.”

I agree - small block ICE in EVs sounds very much like the direction Toyota is heading with their hybrids. And ICE/EV propulsion is the most sensible way to go if one simply must make a political statement by driving an EV.

V8 Ev’s? Sounds like an oxymoron. Meet the 2024 Corvette E-Ray. Electric Business Up Front, V8 Party in the Back:
All-New 2024 Corvette E-Ray | Chevrolet
Chevy tuned it for all-weather stability and insane burst performance, not fuel efficiency.

V-8s for our overlords and EVs for their servitors?
(No travel to speak of for the masses.)
Can the alternator count as the EV part?
