Nineties sitcom actor Ben Savage, whose claim to fame is "Boy Meets World," is reportedly making a run at Congress in 2024.

Fox 11 LA reports Savage, 42, registered as a Democratic candidate for California's 30th House District, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday. He is one of seven candidates vying for the spot in 2024. Only one is a Republican.

California's 30th District includes Savage's hometown of West Hollywood, Burbank, parts of Pasadena, and more.

The seat Savage is running for is currently held by Democrat Adam Schiff, who is rumored to be eyeing Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat in the 2024 election if she does not return to Congress. Schiff has served California in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2001

Wasn't Pasadena a Pub bastion back in the day, like 20 years ago.

Still don't understand the California "Jungle" election process.

California used to be a reliable conservative state

Then Eastern liberals invaded and ruined everything.

Doing it again but with Colorado, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee....

Lots of SoCal used to be Republican, but those days are gone.

Ah, the Jungle primary. All candidates, regardless of party run in the primary. Top two vote getters run in the general. If they are both democrats, there will be no Republican on the ballot. And I believe write-in ballots are not allowed in the general election. “Our democracy” works so much better this way.

Pasadena used to be pretty conservative. It really started changing when conservatives started dying off or moving to greener pastures in the early 90’s. Now, the town is a leftist hellhole. The people of Pasadena just passed one of the nation’s most restrictive rent-control ordinances in the country this past fall. The city and activists run everything there. we sold all of our apartment buildings there some time ago and moved out of state. So glad.

Brother of Fred Savage of the Wonder Years, who seems to have had a little Mr. Hyde in him.

That’s presumably why they call it acting. Gotta wonder how many schizos are in the biz, and whether the rampant drug use is a form of self-medication.

In the general election, he will savage his opponent.

“California used to be a reliable conservative state. Then Eastern liberals invaded and ruined everything.”

A common myth. California is a conservative state, but the Dems brought in mail in voting 30 years ago.

So funny. I had to look up that person.   I never once had the need to look at that kind of TV show.

Reading that article reminded me of a role he had in the movie “no one would tell”; he played an abusive boyfriend who kills his girlfriend. Sounds like he didn’t have to act?

Maybe. Getting old, tired and cranky.

Not a good combination.
