I believe a large part of the ordinary citizen’s pliability to swallow the anti-russkie propaganda is the social conditioning through movies/tv/gov claims of US military infallibility and superiority, and that somehow translates to Uke capabilities by sending them weapons and money. But that’s Hollywood, not reality. There is no Rambo coming to save the day. Russia is not Iraq and their soldiers aren’t former goat herders.
The fact is the russkies are crushing the Ukes on an industrial scale. 8-1 casualty ratio. 10-1 heavy armor ratio. The russkies, at least outwardly, seem to have unlimited resupply capability. Russia also has serious tech capabilities that are just ignored by western pontificators. Or did they forget Sputnik, Yuri Gagaran, Tsar Bomba, the RUSSIAN SPACE STATION, and now hypersonic missiles, Tsunami bombs, I mean geeeezzzz.
The Ukes, who have never been an independent industrialized country, are 100% reliant upon NATO weapons/personnel/satellites in holding out as long as they have. Their incessant demands for resupply proves that. But has been and will continue to be a losing match.
Pretending russkie generals are oafs and their soldiers are untrained/unequipped/cowards is another product of this delusion and is part of the psych operation to justify funneling yet more hundreds of billions to the American weapons industry.
This war has virtually zero national security interest for USA. Not having NATO nukes/armies/weapons on your border & 100 miles from Moscow is the #1 national security issue for the russkies. Which is why the russkies have been justifiably hollering about NATO expansion for the last 20 years. Not all that hard to understand. That the two prior ‘peace’ agreements [Minsk accords] were the product of Western deception and lies is the main, if not triggering, cause of this war. It also makes things much more difficult for a negotiated resolution, if not impossible. Russkies will occupy all of Uke now. It has no choice.
The huge danger in this is that NATO can’t have its ego bruised, not again after losing the mid-east wars in Iraq/Syria/Afgan. So the desperate expansion of this war is mostly about saving NATO’s reputation and cohesion BECAUSE NATO is needed to generate huge profits to the weapons industry and in turn their kickbacks to the NATO decision-makers. No NATO, or no reason for NATO, no profits and no reason to spend $800billion on defense. It is a circle jerk. Not really a good reason to kill hundreds of thousands and destroy a country, but there you have it.
