French dairy giant Danone said Tuesday it wants to slash methane emissions by 30 percent within seven years, pointing to the way the cows it uses are raised, handled, and milked as ripe for change.
AFP reports Danone said it would seek the cuts by 2030 using cow breeds that emit less methane, improving cow diets, prolonging their milking periods and capturing emissions from manure to be used for biogas, for example.
The company is also looking at innovative solutions to help reduce emissions including a cow mask that can trap burp gases, the report continues.

My ornery uncle was a farmer and kept cows and unless they’re out in a suitable field with lots of room rather than cooped up in a barn, the resulting manure and urine can be overpowering. Uncle let him out but still it was just as odiferous as pigs as far as I was concerned.
Peanuts on the other hand and allergic reactions to peanuts is an interesting topic, I have read that it might be due to the vast amounts of herbicides and insecticides used that permeate the root systems, which is the peanut and people are possibly experiencing a reaction to those.
I also read recently that there is growing interest in boiling peanuts and eating boiled peanuts to combat the effects of these peanut allergies.

Boiled peanuts are a southern thing. There might be interest until they actually taste a boiled peanut, just sayin’.

In Idaho they just passed a personhood bill....so farmers can’t be prosecuted for rape for inseminating cows or other farm animals, and people can’t marry animals or any other objects. They’re trying to stay on top of the nonsense.
