This is a sore spot for Trump. It always will be. He will go to his grave believing he did a good thing. When all that is Holy, is he unleashed hell, due to him being a germaphobe. This was and will always be his weak spot.
Sped up the approval process? Great. First thing out of that deconstructed process is a deadly shot. Not just one deadly shot, but 3 variations of clot shots.
That is not, is not, a winning position. Trump did a lot of good during the pandemic in other areas like ventilators, making mobile hospitals available, logistics etc. Getting State encouraged to open back up after the waves went through.
But, him being a germaphobe, left him vulnerable. It is a key weakness of his coupled with his pride of accomplishments. Many here on FR still say he was lied too etc. and he was in many, many cases I suspect. But his phobia made him a sucker too.
I love Trump for all he can and did for our economy and country. He has his faults too. Faults that are way too serious to remotely consider him as a candidate in the future. He was right about HCQ, he was right about Ivermectin...what happened behind closed doors was they preyed on the man’s phobia and pride. He surrounded himself with larks and loons that many of us can step back and see today.
He cannot distance himself from these shots or his failure surrounding them.
He got totally played by Pharma.
That, in itself, should be a disqualifier for running again.

Trump push therapeutics just as hard as the vaccine, or maybe harder, since therapeutics saved him. He issued executive orders mandating them, and Biden canceled them all soon as he was in the White House.
