It does seem to be working out well. We aren’t in drought any more but more rain is welcome.
Yes, it will keep our well water up nicely. Our wells are deep and it takes a long drought to dry them up. It’s only happened once since I’ve been here and Hubby said he couldn’t remember it ever going dry. That’s when we had the second well dug and we’ve had no problems with either one ever since. But we’ll take all the rain we can get to keep them up.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Oh, you were one of those angels! Thank you!
The troops really did appreciate all of those care packages. I remember the excitement when a bunch of boxes would arrive and they were like kids opening Christmas presents.
In fact, one Christmas when I didn’t go home, I remember there being so many boxes and tins of delicious baked goods laid out in the rotunda of the building I worked in that I used other ways to get around the building so I didn’t pass through there and get tempted several times a day. Oh, I nibbled things, but the abundance was threatening to make me gain 15 pounds. The aroma alone was heavenly! LOL
Exactly!
Good idea having two well, just in case. I’m glad you’re getting enough rain to keep things going and I’ll bet it’s made that winter wheat nearly glow in the dark. :)

THAT is what it was all about. THAT is what made it worth all the hours getting everything ready to box up and boxing it, and all the trips to the Post Office to send them on their way. :-)
Until that one time, two wells weren’t necessary. But once it happened we decided a second one would be a good idea.
The wheat is looking great and I’m so glad it was able to come back after the arctic blast. I know the farmers are all happy too. For me, it’s simply a joy to look out the windows and see that gorgeous green in the fields. Everything else is so drab this time of year.
Time to head out. Everything is done and it’s time to try to go to sleep. I’ve been doing stuff around the house all night trying to make myself tired and it didn’t work. I’m still wide awake. Oh well, gotta try to sleep. I’m going to hate the alarm clock in the morning. LOL
Catch ya tomorrow for the quiz.
My goodness! YOU? Going to bed before I do? You must have something really fun to do tomorrow! Sleep well....see ya for the quiz tomorrow night.
Did you leave it for me?
Did you leave it for me?
Going to check on the status of the new fix for the battery for the pickup today but in the meantime here are all the pics from Comanche Lake yesterday, Day 6.
Marking.
The next 10 days will have a couple days at 32 degrees and the rest below freeing. I hope I have enough fire wood repaired.
LOL! I had another meeting this morning so had to hit the sack early. I might as well have stayed up because I didn’t go to sleep until around 5 a.m. *sigh* I hated the alarm clock this morning.
I do feel your pain! Did the alarm survive? I never go to sleep as early as I’m supposed to if it’s before 3am. LOL!
Yes, it survived ...... barely. LOL
I wasn’t tired when I went to bed and that was a s trike against me. Also, my sinuses decided to play Niagra Falls when I laid down and I coughed and blew my nose for a few hours. Not amused!!
Good ole Ft. Bliss. I can neither confirm nor deny that I may have had a mediocre tour ......oops, I’ve said to much already. I don’t wanna end up like Biden!
