Texas Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee introduced a bill to combat "White supremacy" by criminalizing certain forms of hate speech.
After the ill-fated attempt by the Biden administration to monitor Americans' speech online, Jackson Lee introduced the Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023 to assign criminal punishment for certain forms of hate speech.
The bill's language is broad and could result in people facing criminal charges for sharing hateful content, including on social media.

So, a conservative congressman’s aid who gets assaulted by a member of a crowd forming around them, telling them they’re not welcome anymore, that’s just an assault. But if it’s reversed, and during a traffic dispute someone white assaults someone black and uses the “N” word, it’s a deluxe-super-duper-bad hate assault?
Only Sheila Stonewall-Jackson Robert-E.-Lee could come up with something this blatantly unconstitutional.

Wouldn’t a Speaker of the House with actual integrity and character bring this rodeo clown up on ethics charges and remove her from all committee assignments as well as suspending all floor privilege for this Blatant Frontal Assault on the First Amendment and the US Constitution, in direct violation of the SWORN Oath it took??

It’s not meant to be advanced. If it were she would have presented it when the dems controlled congress. This just gives the dems ammo to attack the republicans that vote against her anti white supremacy bill.

If this were such a serious issue, she would have introduced the bill while her comrades were still in control of the House.
