What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary?

What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary?

It may not be the most pressing question that gender-nonconforming people face on the job, but with approximately 1.2 million LGBTQ+ Americans identifying as nonbinary, employers and employees alike are exploring what professional attire can look like.

“I think people treat me with more dignity when I dress more masculinely, but people are way nicer to me when I dress more femininely,” said El Layla Johnson, 33, a former restaurant server who is now a therapist.

For Johnson, getting dressed for work has been a struggle since adolescence.

“I just feel like there’s a manual or rule book that people receive and that my copy got lost in the mail,” Johnson said.

Johnson recalled regularly crying while getting dressed for work at an upscale restaurant in Seattle. It wasn’t just that they found the restaurant’s dress code to be ugly. Johnson had a hard time finding clothes that fit at all.

I was able to keep the 3s ahead of the 5s, by 2 or 3 for a little while... then reality kept creeping back in...

It will be a long time (if ever) that my 2s (11) get close to my 6s (16)... never got a 1!

What can I say?

I would say, "Great job on the 3-spot!"

I got a 1 because I was using the same starting word until that was the correct word.

Now I’ve changed my starting word (to something that hasn’t been the answer yet) and I’m sticking with that word until I get my next 1. Then I’ll do it again.

Tom the Son has not yet arisen. Gah. Oh, well: work will get him next week.

I made chicken salad. Now I’m going to take Kathleen to the dentist.

Yes, they do get rather worn out and bed-raggled once they approach 3900 posts!

Next year (2024) will be our 20th year of moving from pillar to post. We’ve gained a few peeps and lost a lot more, but we still go on in the spirit of the thing!

I missed that by one, once. So I had to change the starting word right after I began learning how to play. I’ll stick with it until it shoots me down!

Apparently xyzzy is not accepted as a word. I guess nobody involved in Wordle ever played Adventure.

If you're octal, this might work:

But if "non-binary" means analogue, this might do:

I will most likely never get a one row solution, unless I decide to change up my most frequent starting word... as it has already been used... but I like it, and it uses a lot of vowels...

Some days I will pick a 'random' start word based on the prior day's solution... that is, what word comes to mind when I look at the prior word... I may get a one row solution on those days...

Good morning. Happy Humph Day!

We got just a little rain last night. The foreguessed “wintry mix” must have gotten lost. It was a balmy 30 fs when we went for our walk this morning.

Can somebody give that kitteh a high-five?

Lucky to pull out 4 today.

Floofy snowball!

Good morning.

I hope you slept well, with no cats.

I slept better than expected and shut the alarm off and slept some more. I was going to get up when the alarm rang, but my body said that wasn’t going to happen.

Now, I need to go take my shower and prepare to walk to Kroger in the rain. All day rain. I could wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow will be sunny and cool, so I probably could wait. Unless Mona would take me.

Nah. I can wait.

walk to Kroger in the rain.

Sounds like a good title for a country and western song.

Not bad, thanks. I was dreaming about church committees and World War II when my alarm went off.

I need to pick up a refill of Shannon’s thyroid pills from the vet today.
