What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary?
It may not be the most pressing question that gender-nonconforming people face on the job, but with approximately 1.2 million LGBTQ+ Americans identifying as nonbinary, employers and employees alike are exploring what professional attire can look like.
“I think people treat me with more dignity when I dress more masculinely, but people are way nicer to me when I dress more femininely,” said El Layla Johnson, 33, a former restaurant server who is now a therapist.
For Johnson, getting dressed for work has been a struggle since adolescence.
“I just feel like there’s a manual or rule book that people receive and that my copy got lost in the mail,” Johnson said.
Johnson recalled regularly crying while getting dressed for work at an upscale restaurant in Seattle. It wasn’t just that they found the restaurant’s dress code to be ugly. Johnson had a hard time finding clothes that fit at all.

Good morning. Happy Monday!
We finally got a break from all the iced-over snow. It was really giving the Princess fits trying to find a place to do “her business.” She doesn’t like slippery floors in the apartment. She was very upset the outside all turned into slippery floors.
But now we have another storm watch for tonight into tomorrow. Maybe it will only be snow and no ice.
Ohwell. At least baseball is back. I’ll have to see what this pitch clock does to the season.
For one day last week my 3s and 5s were even. Not any more. Not after the weekend and not after today.

Good morning. Happy Monday, and I wish you no more ice!
Nonbinary colors - yellow, white, purple, and black - of course.
Yellow and purple are not a good combination for clothing, in my opinion, although they’re fine for flowers.
So now I have to post a picture.
If I say he(?) dresses in women's clothes, someone will point out that the concept of "women's clothes" is an outmoded patriarchal social construct.
Then *I* will point out that these are women's clothes stolen from actual women.
I saw the item on the designer from whom he stole that outfit. She - the designer - looked nice in it.
The world is full of nutters, isn’t it?
Looking forward to a better weather week than last week... hopefully a better Wordle week then today's effort shows...

(In the golf analog, I Bogeyed the 12th hole, and am now back to 4 over for the round...)
After yesterday's game I noticed that it was game 400 for me, so I took this screen grab of my stats...
Good morning. The fog is lifting. We might have sunshine later.
🤞🏻 for the ☀️ !
I have a light-therapy lamp, so I don’t think about dump trucks on cloudy days any more.
We have seagulls this AM, bodes ill for the weather.
Q: What do you see when seagulls shed their belly feathers at the rubbish tip?
A: Their down in the dumps...
I’ve never tried one of those... do you find that it works for you?
Oh, that was hysterical.
Oh, yes! I bought one for ‘Face, and she loved it so much that she got me on. It has made a big difference this winter.
*shrug* You inspired me...
Mine works well for me.
I support all efforts at wit.
I don’t think that would work for me. I need heavy therapy. Fortunately, the Princess can provide it.
