BREAKING: Still more classified documents found in Biden home

Just remember that Joe Biden takes classified documents “seriously.” He takes it as seriously as he does his Corvette! Although, one has to wonder whether Biden can also dig up a few more Corvettes in Wilmington of which he was unaware until now.

Like, say, five or six more around the garage, or maybe in the laundry room:

President Biden’s aides found additional pages of classified information at his Delaware home this week, the White House said on Saturday, bringing the tally to six pages uncovered this week.

The additional pages, a person with direct knowledge of the matter said, were discovered hours after a White House statement on Thursday that cited only one that had turned up in a storage area adjacent to the garage of his Wilmington home. Justice Department employees had gone to retrieve that page, which Mr. Biden’s aides had discovered the night before.

“Seriously,” folks! Biden takes classified-info “seriously,” by which he apparently means he likes stashing it around the house in places even he can’t recall.

This comes shortly after the White House heavily implied that Biden’s attorneys had conducted a thorough search, too. Maybe it’s time for an FBI team to conduct their own, eh?

The New York Times has more on the context surrounding today’s announcement:

The revelation came as Mr. Biden’s lawyers provided new details about their unfolding discovery over the past two months of classified materials from his time as vice president at his house and an office he used before beginning his 2020 campaign for the White House. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland appointed a special counsel this week to investigate Mr. Biden’s handling of classified materials.

They also defended their decision not to be fully forthcoming about the matter. The White House has been criticized over its public disclosures, including why it did not reveal the discoveries much earlier, and why, when it acknowledged on Monday that some classified files had been found at Mr. Biden’s office on Nov. 2, it had not indicated that more had been found at his house the next month.

It looks as though those criticisms may have understated the lack of transparency from Biden and the White House. Either they incompetently conducted their initial searches of Biden properties and offices, or they didn’t actually complete them at all.

This raises another question, too. The spread of these materials in the Wilmington home makes it clear that someone was making use of them at some point. Otherwise, the classified material would have remained in the boxes in which they were initially packaged from Biden’s vice-presidential term. That’s not “inadvertently misplacing” material, but intentional retention and unauthorized uses of classified material.

And that makes the obvious questions even more acute. What did the classified information contain, and what was Biden’s interest in it? Who else accessed this material, and for what purpose? How much more is there to find?

It’s time to send the FBI in with search warrants to answer the last question. And maybe to start considering the addition of obstruction to the list of potential charges, too. In the meantime, let’s try to count all of the ways in which Biden lied just two days ago in this statement.

Update: On Twitter, one person wondered why the FBI would be needed if Biden was cooperating. For one thing, the material needs to be properly secured, but for another, do we know he’s cooperating? Or is his team vetting the materials and destroying anything that might implicate Biden and his associates in further crimes? Hillary Clinton managed to pull that off with the files on her server before allowing the FBI to inspect them, let’s not forget.

Update: Oh, and let’s not forget this from Thursday:

THE WHITE HOUSE on THURSDAY: "The search [for classified documents] is complete. [Biden] is confident in this process" pic.twitter.com/POPTBod9Z5 https://t.co/1UhKiM4PhJ

Biden may be confident in the process. That doesn’t make anyone else confident in it, especially after this.

Never meant that. But you would think for show, to further blindfold the citizens, they would treat it like a crime scene. At least for show.
