Yep.

This lady was armed but in her place of business, which sold alcohol, the law said she could not carry. Being a law abiding person she didn't.

Her stalker, who was NOT a law abiding person big surprise, came in and murdered her husband under the illusion that this would cause her to fall in love with him. Yeah, he is nuts. And he continues to harass her from behind bars. Apparently the "correctional service" just can not seem to stop him from sending her cards, phoning her and so forth.

The moral of this story is always carry. The law doesn't give a flip about you as an innocent person. You should not give a flip about the law.

You do not want to be the person in front of the camera with your loved ones blood on you saying "there was nothing I could do". You do not want that.

Exactly. At the end of the day, the police is not obligated to protect you. When they tell you that you can’t protect yourself, it’s because they want you dead. Period. And they are perfectly welcome to go to hell.
