The Russians were allies of the Nazis first (for 2 years!), until Hitler stabbed Stalin in the back and invaded in 1941.

And Stalin was Georgian.

The Russians allied with Nazi Germany to start the war by simultaneously attacking Poland in 1939.

And Josef Stalin was Georgian.
