So Sean Hannity can feel good about himself.................
I thought this same thing. Every one of these families should have their financial needs met before giving one penny to foreign aid.
It’s an excellent question. Per Laura Ingraham’s show, we spent $1 billion just to take care of illegal aliens in New York City. Imagine what that money could do to help our wounded veterans.
I think of that after every commercial. We used to have a Veterans Administration and Workers Comp benefits for municipal employees. That’s their job. We pay them to do it.
They should exist. Organizations similar to these have existed at least since WW1. But why do service men and women who are seriously wounded in combat not get have organizations like these funded by taxpayers is a great question. Obviously the Veterans Administration isn’t doing enough and as mentioned they seem to have plenty of money to study whales, gas stoves, the effects of shrimp running on treadmills etc.
Congress and the WH loves to send our heroes off to combat and then treat them poorly when they come home. It’s outrageous. Maybe they live in such cognitive dissonance that they can’t face the real human toll of their decisions.
Because a free society very effectively does the volunteer work that corrupt and unconstitutional government ineffectively tries to commandeer.
Really a stupid question.
The ideal would be government was fiscally responsible and at the same time out of the charity/benefit business. It’s not charity if the money was forcibly confiscated from a taxpayer. Let people fund the causes they see fit.
Though nauseating it seems typical. I just read a history of the American Revolution where a soldier who served six years in the Army, says he received only one month’s pay and was sent home without thanks.
When it comes to the widows getting a mortgage-free house, they are not allowed to be remarried. Statistics show however that most young widows remarry in three years. It just doesn’t make sense. These programs are not needed.
They exist primarily as a means for ex-MacDonalds clerks getting 6-figure salaries...
Because if the government tried it would Cost 5X, take 3 times as long, and serve 70% fewer.
The next obvious question has to be: Why then would anyone join the US Military, at the risk of injury and death, to fight DC deep-state, elitist wars - all while $1.7 Trillion in spending goes to illegals, trannies and oligarchs - and private charity is needed to take care of oneself and one’s family?
We still do. I'm a 100% disabled vet and the VA takes very good care of me. I do not need additional help.
“Because a free society very effectively does the volunteer work that corrupt and unconstitutional government ineffectively tries to commandeer.”
Do the celebrities that appear in the TV commercials for these organizations get paid, or is their time always donated?
Do the companies that run the TV, radio and print ads donate the broadcast and ad space, or are they paid?
Do the ad agencies get paid to produce and place the ads?
What are the administrative costs of these organizations?
Those are not bad questions.
Would be interesting to see an actual accounting of the charitable donation percentage that directly goes to veterans from these $19 a month orgs compared to taxpayer ‘donations’.
They should just go to Mexico and cross the border, pretending to be an illegal. They’d get put up in a nice hotel, free food, cell phones, etc.
Clinton Global Initiative.......Buller, Buller,....
To answer the headline - Wounded Warriors appears to originally set up to enrich the leadership.

Not sure what its current objectives are.
IMO, the size of the ‘stimulus package’ is in direct relation to deep state estimates of how much it will cost to throw the next several election cycles.
