Biden’s document scandal eats away at efforts to hold Republicans accountable
CNN ^ | 12 Jan 2023 | Stephen Collinson

President Joe Biden’s embarrassment over classified documents found in his former offices is spiraling into a major political crisis that threatens to undermine the case for Donald Trump to be charged for his own hoarding of secret material.

The revelation that another set of secret documents dating from Biden’s time as vice president were found at a second location immediately fueled Republican claims that the ex-president is being treated unfairly as he is investigated by a special counsel over classified information found at Mar-a-Lago....

...Biden’s own sharp criticisms of Trump’s handling of secret intelligence are now coming back to haunt him and opening him up to charges of hypocrisy. While each case will be assessed according to its own legal merits, the possibility that Trump would face criminal action for conduct that will – for many voters – appear to broadly mirror Biden might make any prosecution politically unsustainable....

Joe doesn’t have an underwear drawer to worry about. HUGGIES come in a box.

As for Dr. Jill, they would probably find a case of LUME deodorant.

“I see that there is no particular interest on the part of the MSM to hold democrats accountable, for anything, ever.”

Excellent point.

What We really need to ask is WHY Demx are doing this? They could have buried any reports of docs found at PennBiden.
Why are they making this known

UPenn Can’t Explain Mystery Donation From Chinese Company
Washington Free Bacon ^ | AUGUST 3, 2020 | Alana Goodman
Posted on 8/5/2020, 4:44:03 PM by Rebelbase

The University of Pennsylvania pocketed a $3 million donation last year from a mysterious Hong Kong shell company that is owned by a Shanghai businessman with deep ties to Chinese government officials.

The donation from Xu Xeuqing, who has no apparent connection to the University of Pennsylvania and was previously embroiled in a Shanghai public corruption scandal, raises questions about the true source of the money. Documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show Xeuqing has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

China has poured money into American universities in recent years, in part to buy influence on campuses, experts say. The donation comes as federal prosecutors have increased scrutiny on the Chinese government’s influence-buying and espionage operations at American universities.

“Unequivocally they’re using the money they’re providing the universities to garner influence there,” said Ben Freeman, the director of the Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative at the Center for International Policy. “It’s not the sole motive, but it’s one of a variety of motives.”

Foreign money has poured into the school over the past few years with a significant portion coming from China. The Ivy League school received $61 million in gifts and contracts from China between March 2017 and the end of 2019; over the previous four year period, it took in just $19 million from Chinese donors.

The University of Pennsylvania received the $3 million in question from a Hong Kong-based company called “Nice Famous Corporation Limited,” according to financial disclosures.

VP Biden, his son Hunter, and Hunter’s daughter Finnegan, arrived in Beijing..........on an official US visit financed by taxpayers.

Throughout the tax-paid trip, Hunter Biden seemed to duck in and out, sometimes joining his father at events and red-carpet arrival ceremonies, and at other times following his own itinerary, presumably with his daughter Finnegan. As is customary, the White House did not provide details about what the vice president’s relatives were doing when they were not part of his public events.

What else Hunter Biden may have done during the tax-paid two-day stop in China is unclear. There are no indications he met with Chinese government officials. Mesires, the spokesman, said that he did not conduct any business during the tax-paid trip — including when he met with Li, the Chinese banker and his nascent business partner.

Several former White House officials who traveled with Biden on the tax-paid trip told NBC News that they didn’t know at the time that Hunter Biden had any business interests in China and were unaware of his private schedule while in Beijing.

Reporters along for the trip also indicated no one was aware of Hunter’s mega business deal in China.

SOURCE—NYPOST.com

Twelve days after Hunter stepped off Air Force Two in Beijing with his VP dad and daughter, on an official tax-paid trip, Hunter’s nascent privarcompany signed a historic deal with the Bank of China, the state-owned financial behemoth often used as a tool of the Chinese government.

The Bank of China had created a first-of-its-kind investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). According to BHR, one of its founding partners was none other than Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC.

It was an unprecedented arrangement: (A) the government of one of America’s fiercest competitors, the Chinese Communist government. going into business with the son of one of America’s most powerful decision-makers, then VP-Biden....Pres Obama’s point man in China.

Chris Heinz (John Kerry’s stepson) claims neither he nor Rosemont Seneca Partners, the firm he had part ownership of, had any role in the deal with Bohai Harvest. Nonetheless, Biden, Archer and the Rosemont name became increasingly involved with China.

Archer became the vice chairman of Bohai Harvest, helping oversee some of the fund’s investments.

Troublingly, some of those investments had major implications for US national security........including the safety and security of Americans.

<><> Ironically, Hunter Biden’s father, the vice president, met earlier with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit as Obama’s point man on all things China.
<><> In December 2014, Hunter’s company, BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), the Communist state-owned energy company involved in the construction of nuclear reactors.
<><> In April 2016, the US Justice Department would charge CGN with stealing nuclear secrets from the United States — actions prosecutors said could cause “significant damage to our national security.”

Of particular interest to CGN were sensitive, American-made components that, according to experts, resembled components used by the US on its nuclear submarines.

Joe Biden later bragged that he did not discuss Hunter’s business interests on the 20-hour flight to China.Nor would he. The details of a mega-deal...... with larger importance to the Biden family fortunes....... were certainly worked out weeks ahead in VP Biden’s tax-paid office utilizing Biden’s tax-paid staff.

The alacrity with which Hunter seemingly sewed up the billion dollar deal shorty after arriving is significant. Because the details were already hashed out when he boarded Air Force Two. Joe and Hunter surely allowed themselves a high five. No need to discuss the deal on the trip over.....it was fait accompli....thanks to the VP’s tax-paid help.

I am surprised that the media and the Democrats haven't used the narrative that I was expecting:
“ Yes President Biden while he was out going Vice President took and secured with permission from outgoing going President Obama sensitive classified documents to secure them until such time that they could be returned at a future date. The then Vice President and other officials knew that the Mr. Trump was a serious security risk as both he and many of those close to him were under Russian influence and to allow such documents to be obtained by Mr. Trump would place our intelligence capabilities at serious risk. That these documents were overlooked is understandable since the Biden Administration had a lot of work to do repairing the damage of the previous 4 years and once discovered were returned to the National Archives. This is completely different from Mr. Trump who stole classified documents to plot his attempt to regain power after being rejected by the voters by hacking a second election and orchestrating a coup attempt leading to January 6. The fact that President Biden was protecting sensitive information from a known security risk as the twice impeached Mr. Trump means that he was acting in a responsible manner and should be thanked by the American people and not condemned for a clerical error. This is a completely different situation then Mr. Trump and his extremist allies who are attempting to present with their misinformation an attempt to excuse his illegal possession of classified information. This situation again illustrates why freedom of speech needs to be tempered with responsible speech to prevent blatant misinformation from poisoning the minds of our citizens thus threatening our democracy.”
I'm sure it coming though as our communist friends and their party are nothing but predictable so we should be ready with a good response to the scripted narrative on every news channel and online news site that's coming.

“I wouldn’t bet a nickel either way on him being the nominee.”
A nickel won’t get you much. Bet the house. Neither he, nor Harris will be on the democrat ticket for ‘24.

Rat Party Headquarters very probably has enough on The Big Guy to convince him to bow out. "That's a fine looking boy you have there...it would be a shame if he were to spend 10 years in Federal prison".

However....Heels Up Harris won't go quietly. And it seems to me that other than "you're stupid" and "you're an affirmative action hire" they have nothing they could throw at her that would sway the Maoist wing (that is,the mainstream) of the Party faithful. And she can claim "I've made history once...I can do it again".

She may try, but her likeability and poll numbers are in the cellar. She’s just not a viable candidate, on her own.

Her many powerful supporters will cry “she’s been mislabeled...during the campaign voters will learn how wonderful she is”. And she’ll be nominated.

I wonder if the Dems will stick by ‘found’ when there are now 5 locations? And how they will explain Biden knowing of this prior to midterms?

How? They’ll look us in the eye and say “F*** you.”

That’s how.
