My girlfriend runs a daycare in her home. She tells me the current parents have absolutely no parenting skills whatsoever. No discipline. Some of them are incapable of potty training.

The word ‘raising’ suggests shared parental care, attention and responsibility. Right. More accurately, “they will be siring or bearing offspring soon.”
