Yes, you do have the extra worry of the outside kitties who would be stuck out there with the snow.
I’ll need to head out to the well houses to check the heaters. I’d bumped them up Christmas weekend, then bumped them down after it warmed up again. We haven’t had lows in the 20s since then but will tonight and I need to make sure the heaters weren’t bumped down too much. Don’t need to keep the buildings hot and pay outrageous electric bills. Just warm enough to keep the exposed pipes from freezing. I’ll figure out that happy medium eventually.
I dread going out. There’s a nasty, cold wind blowing and a little mist in the air. I brought the rain gauge in at midnight and brrrrrrrrr.
I don’t blame you for not wanting to go trudging out there to check those heaters, but it would be awful if the pipes froze, or worse...burst. That WOULD be a mess. At least you aren’t going to have to get out on the roads till it gets a bit warmer. That sure wouldn’t be fun either. How much rain did you get today?
