One of Florida's own, and a good man, IMO. I'm sure he'll be much better after that horse trade than whichever GOPee slug-nutty was slated to take that seat.

exactly ... good trade to get a hard-liner on a vital committee for two years instead of some RINO squish ...

News, yes. Worth knowing that McCarthy is (so far) going along with the rebel alliance.

Donalds noted that his appointment to the Steering Committee
was an important step to having "more [Republican] voices
on more committees." He does know that the incoming party always increase their
own numbers on committees, right?
Him being on the steering committee won't affect that.
For what it's worth, it will give the committee one more
Conservative voice, but they'll have far more RINOs
there than will more than cover for that.

“Him being on the steering committee won’t affect that.”
Wrong the committees will have less RINOs (other than the added Republican). Having a hard core conservative steering committees membership increases the odds of having a more a stronger conservative committees even if the totals don’t change that much.

Is there a hard core steering committee now?
I am aware of this guy. Were there others, and were there
enough to overpower the RINOs on the steering committee?
If so, you have a point.

Yes, he knows that. [Republican] in brackets means he did not say the word, it was added by the editor.

Actually I think it needed to be pointed out, since he didn’t
say it.
Just increasing voices didn’t make a whole lot of sense.
I wasn’t dinging him based on that. It was a given.
