Emergency crews have been busy responding to a surge of calls for help up and down the state due to the weather.
The California Highway Patrol in Tulare County called out to this crash along northbound Highway 99 Tuesday morning after a eucalyptus tree fell into traffic lanes. Two people are dead. The number of injuries is currently unknown.
The tree fell onto a pickup truck on Highway 99 north of Highway 198, killing the driver. Several other vehicles also crashed into the tree, including a motorcycle.
It's unclear how many cars also hit the tree.

Here's one I posted a few days ago where a couple was killed in their car by a huge rock slide at an entrance to Yosemite. It seems rocks and trees are aiming for cars in California. Maybe it's best to stay out of your car there!
Couple Killed in Rockslide in Yosemite National Park Identified
But none of them hit a Tesla.
Proving that EVs are safe.
LOLOL...thanks for the chuckle. That’s a good one.f
Yes, conclusive proof!
The self-driving rocks just showing the self-driving cars some professional courtesy.
Is “atmospheric river” the libtards attempt to redefine the jet stream so it sounds ominous?
Seriously though, people die in strange ways. When it's your time to go, a way will become available for it to happen.
“Atmospheric river” seems like an appropriate appellation to me. Some of the LA foothills have had over 12” of rain in the past week.
Just 2 yrs ago they would have been counted as COVID deaths if tested positive
No, they are different. Atmospheric river term originated in 1990 by MIT researchers. Atmospheric rivers carry as much water as the volume of the Mississippi River at the mouth. It is actually an appropriate term. They flow in the lowest part of the atmosphere.
Jet steams flow in the tropopause
“Atmospheric rivers carry as much water as the volume of the Mississippi River at the mouth”
Wow, that’s an astonishing stat.
My son told me that, in the past week, California has received more rain than 99.9% of anywhere else on earth.
“Is “atmospheric river” the libtards attempt to redefine the jet stream”
Someone that worked for a TV station said the weather forecasters were the most important on-air people
Everyone is interested in the weather but except for violent periods it’s boring to talk about at length, which forecasters have to do.
Now it’ll be more interesting with polar vortexes, atmospheric rivers, bomb cyclones, xxx events, where “xxx” is rain, sun, snow, etc.
“Atmospheric river”...
“Bomb Cyclone”...
“Polar Vortex”...
Laughable terms from the weather idiots.
That stinks.
Doesn’t it? You just never know when the Grim Reaper is coming for you.
