The art gallery owner, seen in a now viral video, spraying water from a hose onto an unhoused woman is stopping short of apologizing and is defending his actions.
Edson Garcia, co-owner of Brioche Cafe recorded the cell phone video, while he was on his way to deliver a catering order just after 6 a.m. on Monday.
"I turned to the side and saw the guy pouring water to the lady." He said, incredulously.
Garcia, who has seen the unhoused woman in the North Beach neighborhood before, sometimes asks her not to block the doorway to his café, and has never found her to be belligerent.
He adds that given the weather conditions, the man's actions appeared especially cruel

True Social justice being applied,,,,
I guess he didn’t have the wherewithal to install timed sprinklers for the doorway.
Why is it “unhoused” instead of “homeless?” I swear to god people who push PC speech codes should be tried, and if found guilty, shot in the face.
It’s unkind, but I can imagine the frustration of the business owner. The homeless keep returning to exactly where they are not wanted and where they interrupt the natural flow of business. They keep coming back, like a bad penny.
Word is most of them are attracted to this area because of all the free benefits.
All small business should shut down..Let the dem cities pay the poor and homeless with IOU’s.....
We say “unhoused” because it’s important to speak with empathy and compassion about our less fortunate neighbors from the curbside community.
The curbside community. LMAO! I’m using that one!
Haha! Good one.
Homeless was a PC term when it was coined. Before that it was derelict or bum.
Problem is, unless it’s a lease, you lose the property and all assets, not to
mention the income you built there.
Granted, your business is probably nothing like it used to be.
So? It was art.
There, but for the grace of God, go I.
Business hasn’t been good for the last couple years and now with looting accepted by the dem party, how much longer can small businesses hold out ??
Good for him!
Setting an example that other property owners need to follow when assaulted by these bums!
Yes, living on the sidewalk in FRont of a home or a business is assault!
I wouldn’t argue with that.
Property values would plummet in short order, as everyone
would be trying to sell.
These middle-class folks will be wiped out and have to start
all over only to have their new areas pull the same thing on
them in a few years.
It isn’t looking all that good anywhere right now, because
you’re only one or two elections away from that new area
turning to the Democrat Wokism.
Maybe he thought she was unhosed, rather than unhoused, so he gave her some hose, in order to do his part to help alleviate the unhosedness crisis.
A better term is “housing-resistant “.
That’s a little extreme; I think the should be tried, and if found guilty, SHIT IN THE FACE by one of their precious BUMS!
I say SUBHUMAN GARBAGE and BUMS because I have empathy and compassion for the people trying to run their businesses and be productive citizens!
