Disposing of lots of old inventory by donating it to Ukes. Will save some small $ in storage costs and eventual disposal costs. Putin is doing the same, with some items literally dating back to Tsarist times. After this war anything too old to have been used therein likely deserves to be disposed. Might save enough to cover all the ordinance disposal and scrap metal disposal we’ll doubtless end up funding there afterwards.
Years ago I read an article about the sad state of the British Army. The author pointed out that (at the time) the UK had more generals than operational main battle tanks.
So it would be nice if the British sent a general along with each tank, just to keep things even.
