Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) on Sunday called the type of fighting happening in east Ukraine “essentially trench warfare” just days after he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

King, who is a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Armed Services Committee, told CBS “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan that $3 billion being released by the Biden administration to help Ukraine will assist in its efforts to stave off a Russian offensive.

This will change as Ukraine starts deploying Bradleys and Abrams.

Since the xiden administration has decided for us to spend, er launder, untold billions to defend THEIR border, I suggest Xiden send His border czar to the center of this conflict.

You better believe the corporate media has skin in this game. DC needs a war to
keep the tracks greased.

Folks.....this is not about the Ukraine or Russia.

Well, DUHHHH!

It's kind of the feature of the whole thing that everyone is missing. One side dug in deep using NATO designed fortifications and WWI strategy, thinking the other side couldn't do anything. The other side, it turns out, had a s4it-ton of artilery, ammunition and lots of old decrepit backwards factories that could churn out a lot more of the same. Cheaply.

The US blundered into the kind of attrition war we swore we were never ever ever going to fight, having learned the lesson of WWI so well we never had to remember it.

The other side HAD that, several generations ago.

Right now, Russia is going through a 30 year demographic crisis, with only 1 kid per family since 1991.

They do not have the people to wage human wave/barrage war and produce tons of weaponry.

Boy, you are living in your own special propaganda bubble. Even the Ukrainians and Zelensky aren’t minimizing the effectiveness of Russian artillery.

This will change as Ukraine starts deploying Bradleys and Abrams.

Do you have a link that would support the idea that Ukraine will soon be deploying Abrams tanks?

This seems incredibly unlikely. The Biden White House is capable of any folly, but surely the logistics of operating a 62+ ton turbine-drive tank far from US bases would be prohibitive.
