I would have thought they would be celebrating? The majority there are global warming believers and believe cheap energy is wrong among other items in their believe structure.

New Englanders have it coming as voting wrong has consequences, don’t have a sad bone in my body for them. Hope it triples on them.

US Natural Gas futures prices are really low. They are in the $3.00 range while in 2022 they were up to the $9.00 range. I think games are being played.

Gee, if only we had an ample supply here in the USA. We could then tap our own nat gas and build out a network of pipelines to delivery it cheaply to the home. What a concept!

LOL...the New Englanders deserve exactly what they get. Those states (and a few others) are sitting on top of one of the biggest reserves of frackable natural gas in the US. But they have absolutely and adamantly refused to allow it to be developed. I hope they enjoy freezing in the dark...

New England VOTED for the people who empowered the Neocons to start the Ukraine War, so they might as well sacrifice a bit.

That’s horrible. Calling our beloved President “Ukraine War” is even worse than calling him “Brandon”!

New England, like California, has legislated and regulated themselves into a straitjacket in the name of "renewable energy". With the help of the Feds, of course.
The book is "Shorting the Grid" by Merideth Angwin. She is a longtime New England power industry insider. Book gives you chapter and verse about this fiasco. This has happened before, but those folks are much too intelligent to learn from their mistakes.
No sympathy from me, even though I've still got family there.

The conflict in the Ukraine should have no bearing on our home heating costs here in New England,
This is just an excuse.
