And if the House switches again that motion will be gone again. I don’t think a lot of voters realize that these kinds of rules are only good for as long as a party holds a majority.

A lot like EO’s...you can sign a lot of them during your time in office but after you are gone they can be rescinded by the next guy...as we have seen.

Well, there is a way to make the rules permanent, by passing a bill into law that purports to live past the current Congress, requiring repeal rather than mere amendment.

That would be a squawk.
