McCarthy mentioned that Trump made multiple calls to other members in support.
“Somebody wrote the doubt of whether he was there, and he was all in. He would call me, and he would call others. And he really was. I was just talking to him tonight, helping get those final votes,” McCarthy said.
“What he’s really saying, really for the party and the country: that we have to come together. We have to focus on the economy. We got to focus to make our border secure,” McCarthy concluded. “We got to do so much work to do [sic] and he was a great influence to make that all happen. So thank you, President Trump.”
Didn’t happen to mention Trump or the stolen election in his speech last night though....
McCarthy will have his thanks engraved on the blade of Vindman's issue bayonet, and present it to Trump, ... from behind.
I have a question about Kevin McCarthy.
How does a professional politician, who never held a job in the private sector accumulate a net worth of 95 million dollars? In only about 20 - 25 years.
Did Romney, McCain, McConnell EVER thank Trump for his endorsement? It sure was a one-way street for them.
It’s easy when you’re exempt from insider trading laws.
They are both looking at 2024 - next House races and next POTUS election. If they can get their respective supporters together over the period 2023-early 2024, their pary should do well in November 2024.
Now, let the “How long before his true RINO comes out?” pools begin.
My prediction - before fall 2023.
