The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit handed down a 13-3 decision Friday striking down the regulatory gun control that banned bump stocks under former President Donald Trump.
Reuters reported that the court intimated that actions on guns should be taken by Congress rather than the executive branch.
Circuit Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod wrote the majority opinion for the Fifth Circuit and also opined that the framers of the bump stock ban did not provide “fair warning that possession of a non-mechanical bump stock is a crime.”

Trump is the one who banned the bump stocks. The Appeals Court overturned Trump.

Ahhhhh… Judge Walker Elrod. This is the same judge who gave a stinging rebuke of the SEC a few months ago for unconstitutionally deciding what rights defendants get in civil actions the SEC initiates.

OK, aside from the bumpstock ban, explain to this dumbass why Trump is against the 2A.
Tell me all the wonderful things he DID (not said) to support the Second Amendment. Tell me about how he sent Congress bills to REPEAL gun control legislation. Tell me about how he got the BATF to be LESS restrictive on gunowners and FFLs.

I’ve seen people bump firing using nothing more than their hands and a semi-auto rifle. And doing so reasonably effectively.

I said "Talk is cheap". And that's all he ever did about 2A: talk. Well, that and encourage the BATF to violate the law ...
THIS is the important part.
Bump stocks, specifically, weren’t the main issue at stake.
The main issue was that Trump was the first President EVER to try to reclassify a firearm definition, via executive order, that led to a prohibition.
It was a horrible precedent, that left the door open for future Presidents to make similar changes, and prohibitions.
Hopefully this ruling puts that genie back in the bottle.
I do not consider a right to fashion bump stocks an integral facet of defending the Second Amendment.

Someone saying they “support the Second Amendment” is meaningless, especially when lefties claim that it protects the rights of states to arm the National Guard, or that it only applies to muskets. Until politicians start giving examples of gun control proposals or laws they say do indeed violate the 2A, and why they do, any such claims of support should be taken as worthless. I’m pretty sure Kamala Harris has claimed she supports the 2A, at the same time she wants to ban nearly everything, etc.
What have you done? Petitioned your Congressman to submit legislation? Supported 2A organizations? Lobbied your state legislator to support gun rights legislation? You probably just sit around and bitch.

Trump was the one who did this. This as an anti-Trump court decision.

Actions on guns shouldn’t be taken by Congress either. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
