The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit handed down a 13-3 decision Friday striking down the regulatory gun control that banned bump stocks under former President Donald Trump.
Reuters reported that the court intimated that actions on guns should be taken by Congress rather than the executive branch.
Circuit Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod wrote the majority opinion for the Fifth Circuit and also opined that the framers of the bump stock ban did not provide “fair warning that possession of a non-mechanical bump stock is a crime.”

Considering that President Trump signed off on the “bump stock ban” to begin with that is important.
Weren’t there so many videos showing how to do your own bump stock that the law was meaningless anyway? YouTube probably wouldn’t allow the same kind of thing today.

Rubber bands do not alter anything.
Please limit your comments to areas in which you are knowledgeable. It is possible to bump fire a totally stock AR-15, or to make it a bit easier with a rubber band added to facilitate the bumping motion. This is not an illegal modification.
I don’t claim firearms knowledge but seriously people all over this country have been targeted by the feds over firearms alterations and at this point in history they may just throw people in jail for those rubber bands and let the court system figure it out later.
