Could life be imitating art?
The sister of accused Idaho college killer Bryan Kohberger starred in a gory low-budget slasher movie where characters are brutally stabbed, slashed and hacked to death with knives and hatchets.
Amanda Kohberger appeared as “Lori” in the 2011 flick “Two Days Back” about a group of young students who go hiking in the remote woods and meet their grisly end at the hands of a maniacal killer who has won their trust.

Totally agree. When I taught college part-time on the side of my decades of actual career experience, it was my older students paying their own way who did the best work.
Yep. But while honest assessments and studies of victimology are critical to catching predators and preventing future incidents, the intellectually lazy resort to cries of, "victim blaming," or, "victim shaming," when honest people point out the facts.
Did any of these four victims deserve to be killed?
Absolutely no.
Could they have very, very easily limited their risk profiles to a point where they weren't killed?
Absolutely yes.
I can’t remember where but there was some DA on TV who sounded like he had contacts with their department and said authoritatively that’s how they obtained the DNA trail.
this has gotten to be a philadephia inquirer media witch hunt....
but shhhh...don't say a word about hunter buyden and his little 9 yro in a stripper outfit....
Agree completely. The hedonistic culture of college life is an invitation to disasters, small or large—in this case, fatal.
How do you know he’s Jewish?
That said, did this father know his daughter lived in a party house with people coming and going at all hours of the night? Idaho is a Constitutional carry state for those 18 and older. Did this father ever discuss self defense with this daughter? The "wrong family," for Kohberger to mess with would have been the one with the daughter who had a Rottweiler in the house and a .357 in the nightstand.
People can call me out for, "victim blaming," if they want and I'll be happy to ignore it. A few things are evident though. Kohberger didn't randomly wander into an apartment full of Idaho State football players. He didn't target a house with a German Shepherd. He went after the vulnerable, and I'd be willing to bet when all is said and done, we'll find out their social media profiles contributed to his target selection as well.
He's circumcised.
I’m interested in this story. The suspect attended colleges in PA not too far from me. Court TV covers all the facts at 8pm every week night.
Good guess. I am guessing this case is in the first quarter with lots more to come out. According to the arrest affidavit, the first cell tower warrant was issued Dec 23.
Long before his arrest, I stated that the killer likely kept the weapon or stowed it somewhere he could pretty easily retrieve it. Since it came out that he left his sheath at the crime scene, I'm a little less certain of that, but would not be surprised if they found it, maybe even in his apartment.
The surveillance team that was on him in PA caught him sneaking out of mommy and daddy's house at 4:00 a.m. to dump trash in the neighbor's trash can...which they retrieved. Criminal mastermind Slow-burger wasn't quite as brilliant as he gave himself credit for being. I love the fact that Moscow PD's lead detective on the case is a young, relatively inexperienced 26 year old. That has to just humiliate Slow-burger to no end. I'm still predicting:
1. Slow-burger will be offered a deal to plea in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table and refuse. Of course some of that is contingent on prosecution's consultation with the families, but I think he's too stupid and arrogant to plea.
2. If it does go to trial, he will go against his attorney's advice and insist on testifying just to show everybody how smart he is, and will torpedo himself (even further) on the stand.
Ditto...
I see the same when I watch the true crime shows — they describe a terrible crime, but eventually they get around to the foolish behavior of the victim that helped make themselves a target.
That said, I feel terrible for the families. And I hope the perp is definitively identified—and fried.
