The more he concedes to the conservatives, the more McCarthy demonstrates that he is not really a conservative to begin with and is even less qualified to be the Speaker.

Steven Hayworth brought up some good points at Powerline. The newly elected members have not been sworn in yet so they actually are unable to vote until then. Also, no one gets paid until there is a speaker so this will end at some point.
Maybe they think something of substance will happen at the Supreme Court tomorrow? when most of them might be arrested?
