After the condemnations in the Arab world, the US on Tuesday also joined in the criticism of the visit to the Temple Mount by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

A spokesperson for the US Embassy in Israel said that Ambassador Tom Nides “has been very clear in conversations with the Israeli government on the issue of preserving the status quo in Jerusalem’s holy sites. Actions that prevent that are unacceptable.”

A White House National Security Council spokesperson told Axios later on Tuesday that the Biden administration expects Netanyahu to follow through on his written commitment to the governing platform, which calls for the preservation of the status quo in the holy places in Jerusalem.

"Any unilateral action that jeopardizes the status quo is unacceptable," the NSC spokesperson said.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price said at Tuesday's daily briefing, “We are deeply concerned by the visit of the Israeli minister at the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif. This visit has the potential of exacerbating tensions and lead to violence."

I would say GFYS, but don't think they have the equipment for either part of that act. They're like store manikins or Barbie dolls, just a hole to pee from. But if they were anatomically correct hermaphrodites, I would say, "GFYS, State".

The US State Department has been a nest of traitors probably since its inception. It’s overdue for a top to bottom purge.

Tom Nides should go back to the U.S. he is not serving U.S. interests, and certainly not Israel’s.

Something like 50,000 Israelis visited the Temple Mount in 2021, as well as some big number of Christians from around the world. But somehow, this one Jewish visit is going to plunge the region into chaos. Really?

Nides is Antiochus Biden’s eromenos. One of many with no shame.

Dept. of State has alway been known as anti Jew
and anti Israel. Remember the St. Louis refugees
in WWII.

History is quite clear. If the State Department had had its way in 1948 there would be no Israel. Truman had such contempt for “those striped pants boys” that he did a Trump and recognized Israel immediately the moment she was founded by the UN.

Yeah... uh

The entire city of Jerusalem is rightfully Israel. That includes the Temple Mount - and for Israel to “allow” the Muslims to have their beautiful abomination on that mount is an extremely generous act.

So - thankfully I have no voice in this, as I would have told the US Ambassador and anyone else they could pound sand...

“recognized Israel immediately the moment she was founded by the UN.”

The UN didn’t found Israel. The GA never made mud out of sand, much less “found” a country. If all it took was the UNGA saying “you’re a country,” The Palestinian State would have been founded twice already. It takes people willing to do the work necessary build a country, and fight and die for it if necessary. The UNGA was and is irrelevant. But everything you said about Harry Truman is otherwise OK. The last Dem POTUS that I have any respect for. Today, he would be a Trump supporting conservative, although he’d have been p!ssed about the demise of the New Deal, and quite off-put by the lack of racism. But no freakin’ way would he have been a modern-day Dem.

I don’t understand what the big deal is. He can’t go into the mosque or the Done of the Rock, and non-Muslims, including Jews, go up there all the time.

I was there a couple of years ago, and it’s a huge complex, like 10 football fields.

Right, a Jew visits the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Israel, and it's his fault palestinians might riot and murder Jews. Israel's fault.

At least consistent.

A grocer opens in a minority community, clearly it's his fault when his business is burned to the ground. Legitimate grievance against the US.

A lady drives to the store. When she's carjacked, not a violent crime, just the same grievance.

The store she tried to visit, whether a small shop or Walmart, when they're looted, nothing to see.

The aggrieved take over parts of cities, as Chaz in Portland. Not insurrection, just legitimate protest.

I won't even mention the border. The administration is both lawless and immoral.
