Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went off on some of her Republican colleagues on Tuesday as the contentious speakership vote is underway, telling reporters that some of her Freedom Caucus colleagues and “supposed friends” have been demanding positions for themselves and acting hypocritically.

“We have been negotiating talking, debating back and forth in our conference, trying to come to a really good rules package,” she said, explaining that she witnessed a very different story in the conference meeting, where she discovered that “several members, three, in fact,” went “last night and were demanding positions for themselves, demanding gavel positions, demanding subcommittees, demanding for people to be taken off committees and people to be put on committees.

It is from a reporter, so correct, Gaetz was not heard saying that.

McCarthy claims Gaetz said that during a meeting on Monday evening. A Gaetz spokesman denied the claim.

Explain the obsession for mean tweets and brash talk. Can a desired leader have the same achievements, sans the meanest and brashness, and be considered successful or desired as a leader?

Kevin is powerless unless elected speaker.

The way I look at it there are 2 types of politicians you can pick, these days:

The compassionate mob boss, who makes sure his family, friends and neighbor are ok and safe, can live their lives and be who they want to be, keeps the bad actors out of the neighborhood. but will cut your throat with a dull spoon if need be.

The back stabbing, smooth talking car salesman, who goes along to get along, promises the moon but never delivers, always asks for one more chance to get it right, but sounds great when they’re being interviewed by the local network. The Graham’s, Thune’s, McConnell’s, McCarthy’s, basically every Republican Senator and most of the House Republicans.

You pick who you want, I’ll opt for the mob boss.

Give me an example of neither.

If you think there’s an effective 3rd option, make your case.

Good I don’t want him to have power. I don’t know what he thinks he’s gonna do with the power that’s any good. Didn’t want to use it for our girl that’s for sure

Your descriptions are spot on. Unfortunately I don’t have an example, but one must exist. I am tired of my only choice being bombastic or weak kneed yes men.

One doesn’t exist. Why? IMHO, we’ve been played for so long by the car salesman option, screwed over again and again, been complacent for far too long while the Left and its RINO supporters have destroyed everything, that even the person who could be Option 3, is forced to be more like the Mob Boss.

I think someone like Louie Gohmert could be Option 3, if given the chance. Guy is brilliant, IMHO, but doesn’t get noticed for anything. But he’s considered “the fringe on the Right” because he’s a real conservative and actually knows and follows the Constitution.

Listen to him talk about the gay marriage case and how Kagan and Ginsburg were required by law to recuse themselves. Made sense to me.

I want neither. Because neither can be trusted.

I want a representative that will listen to my concerns, the concerns of my neighbors and vote accordingly as along as it's constitutional. That I can trust.

I have not heard of Louie Gohmert, but I watch very little news or talk radio. There has not been news for a long time, it’s all opinion and I have my own. I don’t want to cloud it with a million more. Throw in all the overly dramatic and hyperbolic language and I tune-out.
My wife and I travelled a lot before the kids came. I’ve seen communism and 3rd world places. To act like we live this in the U.S is absurd and makes us look ridiculous.
Give me someone who speaks and listens in a normal manner, someone who honors thier word and get things done.
Do you realize our politicians have been debating the same issues, at least since Reagan with very little change? My hope of the above dwindles daily as I don’t believe we’d vote in such a person. We don’t want action, we want an echo chamber, we want to be entertained and hyped up, most folks want a bit of horror too, demons and goblins and monsters lurking in closets.
Until we change, the party won’t change. We are trying to do it backwards.

The behavior of the members of the Freedom Caucus resemble the games being played with the Deep State lobbyists. The the pay-for-play influence peddling Swamp is what I see here.

Do you realize our politicians have been debating the same issues, at least since Reagan with very little change? ..... I’m painfully aware of that.

Benjamin Franklin prophetically stated, “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” The politicians know that they can do whatever they want because folks live in their own little bubbles, WISH and HOPE for someone that isn’t coming and will continue to vote for the incumbents who do nothing but vote themselves raises, protect themselves from any oversight into their corruption and screw the people over.

I don’t want an echo chamber, to be entertained or hyped up. No horror, demons or goblins. I want someone that does their job.

You want someone that does their job but also floats around like the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz. That person does NOT exist. That person never has existed and never will.

You say folks want an echo chamber, to be entertained or hyped up....they’re the same folks that get turned off by some brash language or a mean tweet, even though that person gets things done, make a decision to not vote for that guy, then they all wonder why over 2,000,000 illegal aliens have crossed the border, with millions more on the way. One day they look around at their neighborhood, start to see their neighbors moving as their homes are being flooded with illegals.

Folks burying their collective heads in the sand, hoping for a fantasy to come true.
