It’s taking one house today – that is, breaking through the defense. And behind that house there’s more defense, right?
And not one defense. How many lines of defense in Artyomovsk?
If we say 500, we probably won’t be wrong. A line of defense every 10 meters.
We are lacking vehicles, BMP-3, and 100mm shells, in order to move through Artyomovsk quicker and with more confidence.
We are lacking ammunition and armored vehicles.

Prigozhin is a good illustration of why the Russian’s are failing.
He is not a military man. He started as Putin’s favorite caterer.
The only thing that matter’s to Putin is loyalty and that means the war is being run by men with no expertise or ability.
Why would Russia expect a force made up of ex-prisoners to accomplish anything?

Hmmm. If they take it, sounds like a Pyrrhic victory. Looks like the Ukrainians are using Bakhmut to keep Russian forces pinned down, inflict casualties, and destroy Russian equipment.

Prigozhyn better head to the US southern border, if he wants to stay safe. Putin will throw him out a hotel window, if he doesn’t.
This state of affairs reduces the threat of the Russian ultra-nationalists blaming Putin and bolsters the image of the army, both of which which I guess is worth the lives of several thousand Russian troops to Vlad.
I was told by a putard here that the objective was NOT to take bahkmut and it was already a victory.. someone needs to tell this to the wagner chief.
It does wear down Ukraines resources and military - such as they have there. It’s been and will continue to be a blood bath for both sides....

Such a statement can be applied to any scenario of combat. But the specific claim was that the purpose of Bakhmut was just to serve as a meat grinder for Ukrainians. But here, Wagner is explaining that each house is a fortress and it takes them days or weeks or months just to take a single house. Such situations indicate high attrition on the attacking side, which also explains why they complain of being low on ammo and everything else.
So, who to believe? The Putinist arm chair generals, such as yourself, fantasizing about Russians killing thousands of Ukrainians at their leisure, or the actual Russians who are giving excuses for their dismal failure to take Bakhmut after more than 3 or 4 months of combat?
He is keeping up the constant pressure in order to soften up and identify any other supporting positions... and the tunnels. His job right now is in essence give the same measure of non Russian Regular Army units. His job there will be done when the Russian Army takes over this ongoing battle. Russian Regulars will have the effective or essential “Combined Arms” so far missing. Ukraine soldiers are said to have used 1/2 half of all units rotating in and out as they come off the lines for R&R, replacements and quick training. The 50% of the Ukrainian units are held as reserves, yet most are tied down, leaving a force of 30,000 soldiers for operations to fill personnel shortages as needed in the front lines. That 30K may be a high estimate but very close; but they are essentially the QRF.
The 50% held back are expected to enter the fray at the onset Russian Regular Army offensive operations. Many are designed for defense of Kiev, but it is hard to find or put together an offensive force of 30-40,000 desired by Ukraine simply because of a lack of German Leppard tanks and supporting equipment the will eventually by US Arm-Twisting be supplied... leaving the German military dangerously under equiped.
Wagner Group is a proxy force. Russian cannot without some Declaration of War use their massive 745,000 force, at which point in time Wagner will leave only men to point the Russian Bear at Ukrainians worn down forces.
Ukraine just got some S300 Missile shipment from (getting old sucks but memory me thinks from Cypress). The Ukraine armed forces, electric grid, railways (especially the Russian locomotives which are in short supply), and mostly everything is same or near similar today. Strain on the power, railways, water, heating fuel oil or NG is under constant pressure. Once sufficient damage to Ukraines above-mentioned infrastructure is accessed to pin units down or make movement slow and dangerous going... the Bear will be pi$$ed off and add the declaration of war to Zelensky’s prior call to all out war.
I am going to make a wild arsed SWAG and for the record state the following:
Russia will achieve the initial goals her 160,000 (70% combat) Special Operation force set out to achieve last February. Russia will unleash a quarter million men upon the Ukrainian Polish boarder; the underground railway system will be severed on the Ukrainian side of this boarder. Poland will bluster but they will not start a conflict with Russia due to limited collateral damage, and should Poland start hostilities that NATO will not risk an European theater war, putting N Zeland and Australia and possibly S Korea/ Japan into a War nobody wins.
Included in my SWAG I propose that a President Biden old and incapable become the NWO Tool by which the NWO kills off most of the planet while they scurry into the safety of bunkers provided for their protection by tax payers a who work... Biden is and is essentially brain dead without the cocktails he is injected prior to public appearances (might Biden’s frequent Injections so clouded his mind to shots he couldn’t differentiate for
leadership purposes an objective difference to oppose COVID-19).
If the NWO
gets Biden into a nuclear war in support of Poland... NATOs obligation is to a common defense if a member nation is attacked. Biden’s clouded mind is not sufficient to make any declaration of NATO support should Poland attack Russia in solidarity with a beleaguered Ukraine. Back to if the NWO starts a war, any of us surviving should one at a time and if sufficient numbers kill the NWO WEF cave dwellares wherever they go or are found so that those they sacrificed be given a measure of justice and a return to decency.
Back in the ‘80s in Berlin, we assumed a 10:1 defensive advantage against the Soviets without air superiority and a 48 hour build time for defensive positions.
Each hour raised that quotient as defensive positions continue to harden until moment of contact.
96 hours into conflict, many parts of the line (canals and straight sided obstacles), the defense expected a 100:1 advantage.
No sane army wants to be the offense in MOUT.
