If I press the “report abuse” tab, will it get to the floor of the House?

Did I just hear a vote for Jim Banks?

McCarthy about to lose. Hakeem Jeffries might become the first Muslim Speaker of the House in US history.

Another vote for Jim Jordan. That’s five votes against McCarthy from Republicans by my count. Will the Dems save him?

6 against mccarthy/jeffries.
There will be a second vote. The remaining roll call, could last another hour or two its so slow, is redundant.

Now three votes for Biggs, and at least two votes for Jordan, and one for someone else.
Only the Dems can save McCarthy now it appears.

5 Repubs will not vote for Jeffries on the first ballot. He needs 218 just like McCarthy.
