We've worked in good faith for months to change the status quo. At nearly every turn, we've been sidelined or resisted by McCarthy, and any perceived progress has been vague or contained loopholes that further amplified concerns as to the sincerity of the promises being made.

He is right. McCarty wants to run the House like Pelosi did.
Only made a token effort to compromise when he realized he did not have the votes. At the last minute. A pox on McCarthy.
i saw him this a.m and he filibustered for 4 min. i turned him off.
"It's never the wrong time to do the right thing."
IMO this is what change looks like.
It seems as though elected representatives are done with the same old stuff (and I didn’t mean stuff) and are willing to fight it out to see what they can do which will include consequences for them.
I realize that 1) McCarthy will most likely still be Soeaker, and 2) that’s this disruption will leave a mark.
But I think it’s worth the risk because even if the forces of change in the GOP lose today it’s sending a legit message that they are refusing to go along with the usual BS with real consequences to leadership and they will be stronger in 2 years.
It is always the time for an absolute!
If you support Trump, then you must support McCarthy.
Perry, as the ONLY conservative in the PA delegation, is well worth listening to as he attempts (futilely) to support millions of conservative voters who don’t want to see their efforts neutered by having Frank Luntz’ squishy little boy toy as the leader of our party in the House.
The libs have been going berserk for years trying to oust Perry from Congress (gerrymandering his district twice in the past 4 years, fabricating “insurrection” charges, etc.).
In fact, he and Alex Mooney (WV) are the only conservative members of Congress north of Virginia and east of Ohio, though I realize there’s not a lot of competition there.
The Speaker should not be able to change the Rules that lets the House remove the Speaker like Nancy did
Sorry Eric, as much as we admire the est president ever - none yet believe he will s infallible. He has been wrong before and he will be wrong again. Most of the time he is right.
They all know Kevin is a uniparty RINO.
“He is right. McCarty wants to run the House like Pelosi did.”
Yea, sure, that’s why he has already agreed to so many rule changes.
The Freedom Caucus can ONLY achieve notice for themselves, period. By denying that they are subject to question what there true motives are. Do some secretly want a true RINO with Dim votes to be speaker?????
What are the hold outs achieving? They are ahieving public notice that even after winning a majority the GOP is unable to govern.
Perry the s my congressman, and most of the time, I support what he does, but they will screw around and they will find themselves with a democrat speaker
Trump’s track record on picking people is terrible. He is not a good judge of character.
McCarthy is a true RINO.
High noon for McCarthy in a couple hours.
Thank you.
McCarthy simply needs to withdraw from the race and allow a more conservative consensus candidate to fill the void, perhaps a Jim Jordan or someone who pledges to act like a real conservative.
Not sure I am sold on Jim Jordan either.
