Former congressman: Omnibus bill allows feds to require remote kill switches in new cars

[EXCERPT]

According to an article written by former U.S. Representative Bob Barr, hidden away in the recently passed infrastructure bill, the very one I warned before would negatively impact drivers across the country if it were to pass, is a measure to install vehicle kill switches into every new car, truck, and SUV sold in this country. The regulation likely won’t be enforced for five years, so maybe there’s time to do something about this. …

It gets even better: Barr points out that the bill, which has been signed into law by President Biden, states that the kill switch, which is referred to as a safety device, must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired.” In other words, Big Brother will constantly be monitoring how you drive. If you do something the system has been programmed to recognize as driver impairment, your car could just shut off, which could be incredibly dangerous.

There is the possibility the kill switch program might measure your driving as impaired, then when you try to start the car up again the engine won’t fire up. That would potentially leave you stranded.

But wait, there’s more. This kill switch “safety” system would be open, or in other words there would be a backdoor. That would allow police or other government authorities to access it whenever. Would they need a warrant to do that? Likely not. Even better, hackers could access the backdoor and shut down your vehicle.

It is coming Beau. Get ready. Like Monday following Sunday, it is coming. The speed and way these young people are being dumbed down it wont be long before they are unable to function without somebody from the Government holding their hand.

Probably now, like with google so deeply entrenched, the systems are so intertwined that pulling out a tail light would send a message. Waterfall effect likely. Not a lot that isn’t “tamper proof” but it may take a lot of effort. 🤨🧑‍🔧

but someone was throwing the switch, regularly.

Do you really think someone was taking the time to monitor your car, and killing the engine just to mess with you or your wife?

I'll take the Occom's Razor approach: The 1986 switch was malfunctioning.

Freeze your bank account, lock your car, turn of electric, gas, and internet to the house...

Yet somehow I’m supposed to give a damn about Ukraine.

I’m sure there are many, many things for contained within that 4000 page monstrosity that are designed to further diminish American’s freedom while lining the pockets of the favored few.

What they REALLY want is the data link between cars and the government, which will be required for the kill switch to work. Once they have that, life gets FAR EASIER to control what people do with their cars, and the list of what they can do is endless (such as setting speed limits inside of cars, limiting what days you can drive, etc.).

What will be interesting, though, is whether one requires the data link to even start a car, such as in the morning to drive to work (in other words, will cars default-off without a signal?). If not, then the logical thing to do is try to disable the link.

It also explains Deep State’s mad-on for nat gas.

It’s a lot easier and quicker to cut off power to a recalcitrant population than it is to cut off their natural gas.

On election day, approximately half the country may find that their cars don’t start. But don’t worry — the problem will likely resolve itself by Wednesday.

Bears repeating to high heaven.

Next thing you know, if your Social Credit score is too low, your nifty computer-controlled car is disabled. Maybe they disable your cellphone too.

Took a driving class a while back that is geared toward people in the security industry.

One small part of the class was in the classroom where they were talking about certain aspects of modern cars and what is to come in the future.

Apparently, the tire pressure sensors on cars is done through a bluetooth connection, can’t be hardwired. And that bluetooth connection is where a bad actor can hack your car computer.

Someone asked what can be controlled. Semi-autonomous cars can have their steering taken over, among other things. Regular cars, anything the computer controls to include on/off, acceleration, braking, and any other electronics.

And it’s only getting worse.

Good thing McConnell and the other Republican Senators voted for this disaster. But, then again they don’t read any of it. I’m sure they get cliff notes on what is going back to their respective state so they can brag about all the pork they’re bringing home. And the sheep, I mean voters, eat it all up.

This is the camel’s nose under the tent - and will lead to the government monitoring everything there is about driving - taxing your mileage - as has been suggested repeatedly in California, telling you when you can/cannot drive and how far, rationing gas and/or use of roadways.

All will be sold to the public as “improvements to driving safety” and “for the children.”
