The UN secretary-general said that nuclear war is "back within the realm of possibility" following Russia's warning earlier this year it was putting its nuclear forces on alert amid its war in Ukraine, which threatens to draw NATO into direct combat with Russia. Since then, nuclear threats have continued to raise concerns a nuclear weapon could be used in a conflict for the first time in decades.

If Russia has to resort to nukes, the default plan as I understand it is to take everybody out at once. It will take time to do strategic strikes, because it is not intending to win that war.

Remember they said Trump would get us in a nuclear war?

Now Biden’s dealings in ukraine have us on the brink.

I hope they never find out how much DC is loved by middle America. That would make us so sad if they nuked DC. We would think of all of our beloved leaders as we powerwashed off the marble Monuments.

>>That includes the six urban areas that Redlener thinks are the most likely targets of a nuclear attack: New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

That would be acceptable.

The left reliably always accuses the right of what it itself is doing, or intends to do.

“So while we all live under a nuclear “sword of Damocles,” Schwartz added, people in big cities like New York and Los Angeles most likely shouldn’t worry about being struck by a nuclear weapon.”

BS.

“Why Russia’s Massive Poseidon Nuclear Torpedo Is So Terrifying”

https://www.19fortyfive.com/2021/09/why-russias-massive-poseidon-nuclear-torpedo-is-so-terrifying/

It’s a drone torpedo having four Tsar Bomba’s salted with cobalt to create cobalt-60 in a blast. And in a tidal wave that would flood entire regions, making them unsuitable for habitation for hundreds or thousands of years. Cobalt-60’s what is used for sterilizing medical products.

Nuclear war is the worst possible thing that could happen; much worse for animals, people, plants and the environment than the ocean rising an inch.

I hope our leaders are as sensible as the people (they’re not...they just ask “is we gettin’ mo stuff?”). Nuclear war would devastate the planet. We would be the next dinosaurs.

Don’t forget Seattle, San Diego, Oceanside, Ft Hood, Kings Bay, Houston, Ft Hayes, Ft Campbell, Omaha, Cheyenne Mountain, Norfolk, St. Louis, Sedalia MO, Tokyo, and Diego Garcia. These are all major bases or logistics hubs.

Even if Russia would be stupid enough to attack, the bombers would take off on notice and the subs would attack after communication was lost after 48 hours. Don’t forget about the MX missiles in the desert with their shell games.

MAD was created for a reason.

I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.

Once again, Russia’s nuclear threats are not directed at the U.S. or NATO.

They are to keep China from getting frisky in that they would love to get their slimy little chicken chokers on all those natural resources that’s sitting in Siberia. Putin knows that he doesn’t have the military resources to fight on two fronts especially with China having a much larger military and the fact he (Putin) has pissed away his best units on his ill conceived war of aggression against a country that was of no threat to Russia.

If they did anything at all it would be an EMP strike configured to look like Islamists or the Norks did it.

There's a novel about this called One Second After. Much too plausible.

Perhaps they have this all planned out for awhile now...

THIS IS NOT A TEST
