Maxwell Frost said he might 'couch surf' after struggling to get DC apartment Frost will earn a $174,000 salary as a congressman next year Opened up about being denied an apartment due to bad credit He was 'denied from apartments... because I have bad credit' Frost said: 'I'm probably just going to have, like, couch surf for a little bit' The first Gen Z member of Congress was elected in the 2022 midterms
Maxwell Frost, the first member of Generation Z to be elected to Congress, said he will likely couch surf during his first days as a lawmaker in Washington, D.C. because he was denied apartment applications.
Apartment buildings in Washington, D.C. conduct credit checks and most require tenants to make triple the monthly salary that the apartment costs.
Frost, who will make a yearly salary of $174,000 as a House congressman, said that he was denied apartment applications because of his 'really bad' credit.
'Yeah, I mean, it's not cheap,' Frost, 25, told ABC's This Week on Sunday morning.
'I'm dealing with it right now, getting denied from apartments, trying to figure out where to live because I have bad credit,' he explained. 'I'm probably just going to have, like, couch surf for a little bit.'

He can surf over at Pete Butplugs place
He won’t be the first member of congress to share a house or apartment. I’ve always heard that city is very expensive.
NYT: Nov. 10, 2015
Even as House Speaker, Paul Ryan Sleeps in His Office!
All we need ...
Another bad credit legislator who spends beyond his means.
*This* is what is being elected to Congress these days, folks. 🙄
32% tax bracket.
“I’m Maxwell Alejandro Frost, and I’m running for Florida’s 10th Congressional District. Join our fight for social, racial, & economic justice.”
Translation: loser who will make millions of dollars destroying the country.
Not to sound like a millennial douche, but he’s probably right in doing so. My identity got stolen by my own sister quite a while back and my credit got wrecked. Made renting a living hell and lived in a tent for a while as a result. I kept working and ended up saving for a not completely horrible shit hole apartment. It takes time and saving when your credit is hot trash
His net worth will approach $10M within 2 years.
Didn’t a Utah congressman elect sleep on a cot in his congressional office some years back? I forget the guy’s name but used to see him on Faux New bloviating every once in awhile.
Democrat Rep. Rosa DeLauro let Rahm Emanuel live in her townhouse basement for free for five years. Maybe she’d do the same for a black guy.
Be a politician to belly on up to the public feeding bin. Be a banker to get rich off of banks. Same theory.
They get a free office, gym, access to the cafeteria, people who will by them meals off record providing they stand up to eat, probably free cable and internet, as well as health care ... probably didn’t spend a dime of his own money to get elected.
This is the guy that won Val Demings’ seat, who ran against Rubio and lost.
Job Number One of Congress is making wise decisions about highly complex, massive scale taxation and spending policy. So by all means, let’s install ore morons with zero economic or business knowledge, and no acommplishments except to ruin their own credit. How did he have the arrogance to run, and how did his constituents have IQ’s low enough to elect him?
But he’ll be rich after a year of grifting.
There are a number of Motel 6 properties in that area. He would pay between $65-100 per night, and they’ll leave the light on for him.
That doesn't happen by accident.
Are these writers paid by the word?
In case you missed it, the dude makes $174,000 per year, apartments conduct credit checks, he has bad credit, and he might couch surf.
If you didn’t get any of that, the author will repeat it five more times for you.
Oh, yeah, and:
First Gen Z lawmaker
First Gen Z lawmaker
First Gen Z lawmaker
Does the article need to repeat that again?
Groomed by Gillum?
