It is never in the interest of a civil society to shed innocent blood. Never.
And it is also never in the interest of a society to dictate these kinds of personal choices, whether you agree with them or not. Yet many states did just that and it hurt the GOP big time. People do not like being dictated to which is what happened in many states. The people had NO say in what they wanted done. Stupid moves on the politicians part. But they were playing to their base and ignored the other people who live in their states and might not have agreed with what they instituted.
I had a lot of people tell me as I was working on a couple of campaigns in my district they were unhappy with the Republican response to Dobbs and were not voting for them. And I live in a very red state.
