A. Regarding those who “died on Jan 6, 2021” at the U S Capitol
(First, take a look at THIS FactCheck.org article)
1. N Y Times (01/11/21) “These Are the 5 People Who Died in the Capitol Riot”
2. N Y Times (01/05/22)– “These Are the People Who Died in Connection With the Capitol Riot”
(Note – See how the NYT headline evolved?)
3. WPXI (Cox Media Group) “DC medical examiner confirms causes of death of 4 who died in Jan. 6 Capitol riot”
• Ashli Babbitt, 35, died from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder -a U.S. Air Force veteran from Southern California, was shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer while she climbed through a broken window on a door leading to the Speaker’s Lobby
(Note – Ashli Babbitt was killed by Michael Byrd.)
• Roseanne Boyland, 34, died of acute amphetamine intoxication -among a throng of protesters attempting to fight through a police line. The Kennesaw, Georgia, resident appeared in the video to be crushed by fellow rioters, but the medical examiner’s ruling contradicts that theory.
• Kevin Greeson, 55, died of hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease -was talking on the phone with his wife in a crowd of Trump loyalists on the Capitol’s west side, when he suffered an apparent heart attack and fell to the sidewalk
• Benjamin Phillips, 50, died of hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease -died of a stroke before the entourage left to return home to Pennsylvania.
4. Newsweek (01/06/22) January 6 Capitol Riot Victims (NOTE: this is the longest and most comprehensive list of names I have found so far)
• Brian Sicknick Capitol Police officer -died the following day after collapsing upon returning to his division office.
• Ashli Babbitt - shot in the left shoulder by the officer who fired once. She later died from her injuries. Her death was ruled a homicide by Washington, D.C.'s chief medical examiner.
• Kevin Greeson - speaking to his wife on the phone when he fell onto the sidewalk during the Capitol riots.
• Benjamin Phillips - died of natural causes from hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, the medical examiner said.
• Roseanne Boyland - (who was among the protesters at the Capitol) aspired to be a sobriety counselor and followed QAnon conspiracies. The death of the 34-year-old Georgia native—who died from acute amphetamine intoxication—was ruled an accident by Washington, D.C.'s chief medical examiner.
• Howard Liebengood – MPD officer - among the four police officers who died by suicide (three days after) the insurrection.
• Jeffrey Smith – MPD officer - also died by suicide (01/15/21) after the Capitol riots.
• Gunther Hashida - MPD officer - he took his own life last July (2021) following the Capitol riots.
• Kyle DeFreytag - MPD officer was found dead on July 10 (2021) last year and the department confirmed he had died by suicide.
5. NY Post (01/07/2021) “Who are the five people who died in the DC protest at the Capitol?” • Ashli Babbitt (no significant difference in this account)
• Kevin Greeson (no significant difference in this account)
• Benjamin Philips (no significant difference in this account)
• Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Ga, who was trampled to death by a mob as rioters stormed the building.
(NOTE: Rosanne Boyland’s death is surrounded by mystery. More on that later.)
6. Yahoo! News (08/6/21) “Pelosi: Officers who died after defending Capitol on Jan. 6 are 'martyrs of democracy'”
“The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department announced Monday that two Metropolitan police officers who responded to the Jan. 6 attack, Gunther Hashida and Kyle DeFreytag, died by suicide last month, bringing the known number of officers who’ve taken their own lives in the aftermath of the deadly riot to four. D.C. Police Officer Jeffrey Smith and U.S. Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood both died by suicide in the days after the pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol. The fifth officer, Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, suffered strokes and died of natural causes one day after clashing with rioters.”
B. Regarding the claim of an “armed insurrection”
1. Politifact (02/15/2021) Breaking down the claim
Johnson (U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin) prefaced this comment (“Jan 6 claims are exaggerated”) by claiming that Democrats are painting a picture of every Trump voter being a violent rioter. Certainly not everyone in the crowd was armed. And many clearly came intending only to peacefully protest.
But claiming this was not an armed insurrection goes well behind this line of thinking.
Many in the crowd attacking the Capitol have said their intent was to stop the vote confirmation and keep Trump in office despite the election results. That’s an insurrection.
That leaves us with his objection to the word "armed." Yes, carrying a gun would constitute being armed. But the definition of the word is much more broad, referring simply to carrying a weapon. So the question is whether this insurrection involved people carrying weapons.
And it certainly did.
Reports detail an array of weapons, many makeshift First off we’ll note that any reports of weapons at the Capitol will greatly understate the quantity that was likely there. Only 75 people were arrested that day, and police weren’t doing any widespread searches that would have identified weapons on others present, NBC News notes.
C. Regarding the death of Rosanne Boyland
1. World Tribune (2/11/22) “D.C. police internal affairs declares beating of Rosanne Boyland ‘objectively reasonable’”
A police officer’s beating of Rosanne Boyland with a steel baton and a large wooden stick while she laid unconscious in a packed U.S. Capitol tunnel on Jan. 6, 2021 was “objectively reasonable,” according to a D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) internal affairs investigation.
Rosanne Boyland. ‘Morris was hailed as a hero and traveled to the Super Bowl in Tampa as a guest of honor.’
Video footage reportedly taken after Boyland had fallen unconscious in the tunnel shows MPD Officer Lila Morris beating Boyland with a steel baton and what appeared to be a wooden walking stick.
Morris can be seen on bodycam footage picking up the stick, raising it over her head and striking Boyland several times in quick succession before being pulled back by other officers.
Following the events of Jan. 6, Morris was hailed as a hero and traveled to the Super Bowl in Tampa as a guest of honor.
2. Gateway Pundit (8/4/2021) “NEW VIDEO: Rosanne Boyland Killed by Cops – Police Prevent Her Rescue – Push Protesters Down Steps – Beat Rosanne and Protesters with Sticks — Protesters Attempt CPR”
3. Vanity Fair (01/05/22) “Rosanne Boyland Was Outside the U.S. Capitol Last January 6. How—And Why—Did She Die?
As insurgents forced their way into the tunnel, a group of officers packed together and pushed back against the throng. Among the knot of rioters was a young man named Philip Anderson, a self-described free speech activist. He said there were about 50 people crammed in at the Capitol entrance. And yet, in the middle of that melee, Anderson recalled seeing, out of the corner of his eye, a woman in the crowd.
“There’s nothing but men, really, but she’s at the back, just standing there” as he tells it. “All hell breaks loose when the police begin gas.... and we’re not able to breathe. It wasn’t even tear gas...I turn around, run away as fast as I can, [and] collapse. Fall right on my face...”
As the crowd retreated to escape the gas, many fell on top of one another. Anderson got crushed under a pile of about 30 people, he said. Next to him was that woman he had seen earlier. “She was screaming a little bit and yelling for help,” he recalled, “but then she went quiet.... She was dying and she didn’t want to feel alone. So she grabs my hand and then she lets go.... And when she lets go [of] my hand, I’m like, I really am going to die. She just died. I’m going to die. Get off of me. Help, help, help!”
4. GiveSendGo> (a Christian crowdfunding website) “What happened to Rosanne Boyland”
Rosanne Boyland died at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. There are still many questions about exactly what happened to her. Videos show her being beaten by a female officer after being crushed by protesters pushed by police. Yet the DC Medical Examiner said Rosanne's body showed no signs of trauma, and attributed her death to the prescription medication she took every day for years. According to videos and statements, Rosanne was dragged unconscious through the west tunnel by the police at 4:31 PM. Then she was taken to the crypt and to the House Majority Leader's office before EMTs arrived at 5:45 PM, finding her inside the rotunda being given CPR by Capitol police. We were not expecting all our requests for information to be denied or ignored. This has forced us to seek donations to pay for an autopsy review and legal assistance. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Family of Rosanne Boyland

Excellent post.
History is written by the victors.
The blood on FJB’s hands.
To be fair, JRB wasnt even pres then.
I remember “two boys on the tracks” died in the 1980’s in Arkansas. Seemingly crushed by a train. The coroner said they were and proved it by putting his “stamp” on the case. Others died who were witnesses to the murders of these near adult boys. One was found missing his head, and the same coroner said it was likely eaten by a dog. When the head was found, the same coroner said the dog must have vomited it up. Coroners, it seems they are as corrupt as the rest of mankind.
“History is written by the victors.” Exactly. They control the narrative. Nice summary of events.
