Commentary: COVID-19 trends will be more difficult to predict in 2023 and beyond
Channel News ^ | 01 Jan 2023 | Duncan Robertson

In 2020, we knew very little about the novel virus that was to become known for causing COVID-19. Now, as we enter 2023, a search of Google Scholar produces around 5 million results containing the term.

So how will the pandemic be felt in 2023? This question is in some ways impossible to answer, given a number of unknowns.

In early 2020, the scientific community was focused on determining key parameters that could be used to make projections as to the severity and extent of the spread of the virus. Now, the complex interplay of COVID-19 variants, vaccination and natural immunity makes that process far more difficult and less predictable.

Could use a few of these installed - one for each variant. Science.

Man, that close up pic of a corona virus looks tender AND juicy.

I can predict a COVID-19 trend in 2023: More people will regard it as a hoax and move on with their lives, while a small subset will delve deeper into their psychosis.

“Now, the complex interplay of COVID-19 variants, vaccination and natural immunity makes that process far more difficult and less predictable.“

Funny. Viruses used to virus. Now they don’t. Wonder what changed…

“while a small subset will delve deeper into their psychosis.”

...My guess from what I witness would be 25% of the population continues with the mask. Living life in such fear is beyond pathetic. If these people were around in the 30’s and 40’s, we’d all be speaking Japanese.

I think here in NJ that figure would be much lower; at our worst point (early 2020?) much of NJ away from the NYC metro area was living as though nothing was happening (even though that was probably the point at which most people were dying, mainly due to misunderstanding how to treat it).

This area was already facing problems economically, and I believe most people understood that left unchecked, these restrictions would drive the remaining jobs elsewhere. I am thankful some states handled this with much less restrictions, because I believe that is the only reason the control freaks here loosened their grip. If a Dem president had nationalized those restrictions or the slightly-conservative Supreme Court hadn’t overturned the OSHA vaccine requirement, we’d still be locked down now after being forced to take experimental drugs.

This whole episode was very disturbing in terms of government control at several levels. Business owners and those managing rental properties saw how little control they had over their investments, and everyone got to see religious exemption applications from the medical experiments routinely ignored.

I got a suggestion - change the name of “covid” to flu and just call it the “flu season” and quit trying to social engineer our society using the virus as a weapon.

For as long as I have been alive we had a cold and flu season where some got sick, some did not and some even died but we did not force people to take a cure they did not want nor did we shut down the entire nation (for political reasons).

Holy merde. Just published. Check out how low these rates are...

Age-stratified infection fatality rate of COVID-19 in the non-elderly population

Especially love this bit...

...These IFR estimates in non-elderly populations are lower than previous calculations had suggested...

That's putting it mildly.

I remember this story. Wiped out.

I remember that as well.

The craziest thing is that we know this virus was designed by people (Asians funded by Americans), and that it has killed millions of people; why has nobody been charged for this? Never mind the “vaccines”; why has nobody been charged for designing this bioweapon?

The headline makes it sound like they had good predictions in the past. Let’s see.

Biden and Fauci said if you got the (Trump/Pence) vaccine that you would not get Covid-19. You would be a wall and Covid would stop with you. You won’t get it or pass it on. Both assertions false.

Passed predictions were nonsense but certain. Current predictions are nonsense but uncertain. Perhaps the uncertainty is a good thing.

Yep - and many don’t realize that when one tests positive for covid these days, it is treated like a common cold because for most, that’s how it presents..

It’s easy. When the government needs more restrictions on the public, Covid will be worse. Otherwise Covid will become less dangerous.

--- "COVID-19 trends will be more difficult to predict in 2023 and beyond" >P>

Translation:

Predicting the future will be more difficult in 2023 and beyond, and fact checking fact checkers will become more difficult in 2023 and beyond, and the Covid "event" with a demonstrable mortality rate of only 0.085 percent will be difficult to market as mRNA experimental products sales will be further seen in the light of injury and death will be more difficult to sell in 2023 and beyond.

Correction to the headline:

"The only allowed COVID-19 narrative will be more difficult to push in 2023 and beyond"

Prediction:

Covid-23 or an equivalent will be provided to address the concerns as above.
