SWAT teams descended on a sleepy residential community in Pennsylvania in the early hours of Friday morning where they arrested Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger more than a month after four university students were slain in their beds.
Kohberger, 28, was taken into custody by the Pennsylvania State Police at a home in Albrightsville, a small town in the heart of the Poconos Mountains more than 2,000 miles from where the gruesome killings took place on November 13.
Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson said investigators believe Kohberger broke into the students' home 'with the intent to commit murder.'...
Friday's arrest is the first major break in the case - with Kohberger asking if 'anyone else was arrested' when he was taken into custody. An extradition hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
Kohberger is a registered Libertarian, although does not appear to have had any active social media profiles at the time of his arrest.
A relative told The New York Post Kohberger is 'OCD' about his eating habits and forced his family to buy new pots that had never been used to cook meat.
'It was above and beyond being vegan. His aunt and uncle had to buy new pots and pans because he would not eat from anything that had ever had meat cooked in them. He seemed very OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder)' the woman said.
During a press conference on Friday authorities confirmed that a white Hyundai Elantra was discovered in the search – with sources saying it was towed from outside Kohberger's home.
Law enforcement sources told CNN that his DNA was discovered at the scene of the crime – with officers managing to track down who owned the car seen in the area of the slayings.

He wanted them to buy new cookware that has not had meat cooked in it. Not new cookware every meal.
Crazy?
Thanks.
Makes me wonder if his parents/family were scared/intimidated by him. A former friend who broke it off after Brian became a bully & aggressive said that Brian’s parents were extremely sweet people.
You’re both right as well.
It does look like it might be him.
Additionally, he talks about the wounds of one girl who was trying to escape. Only someone at the scene would know that.
In a youtube video, a young woman claims her brother was friends with Kohberg in HS, and that Kohberg became a heavy heroin user. He tricked her into driving him somewhere that turned out to be a heroin buy (she was not pleased). Might all be false, but she seemed credible. Heroin aligns with Kohberg becoming thin and “looking drugged”, a bit less with the hyper-aggression. Perhaps heroin was an attempt at self-tranquilizing.
I’m waiting for the other murders to be connected to him.
why?
Parents are sometimes stuck with crazy and evil without having a hand in it.
Sociopathy is pretty much there out of the egg.
Why??
There is also a belief referred to as "authoritarian libertarianism" which is held by a very few people.
It's similar to Communism in that it believes that society needs to go through a phase whereby everyone is forcibly trained to be self-sufficient and value individual liberty above all else. When the libertarian elite decide that the populous are ready, they will then dissolve the government and everyone will be living in a libertarian paradise.
Families do a lot for troubled family members, they spend money on doctors, they send them to special programs, quit work to stay home with them, buy them adaptive equipment, air filters, appoint round the clock care,
Buying a set of pots and pans for an anxious child is piddle-swat.
d forced his family to buy new pots that had never been used to cook meat.
... His aunt and uncle had to buy new pots and pans because he would not eat from anything that had ever had meat cooked in them.
= = =
Forced them, how????
I won’t eat, unless . . . . OK, don’t eat.
And how about his knife? After the first stab it was contaminated by meat.
Yeah doesn’t sound appealing at all.
As always, the truth is stranger than fiction.
Comes with free violin classes for guests.
I get that, but I have a nephew that won’t let my sister make baked potatoes in her gas oven. He says it gives him migraines. So she won’t do it, but she misses them. Yes, they’ve spent money on doctors, programs, and all manner of support for him.
This nephew is well old enough to be on his own, and actually used to be on his own.
He does nothing but manipulate my sister. Nobody calls his bluff. Everybody caves to his selfish desires. Did I mention he doesn’t hold a job anymore since the lockdowns?
It’s always one thing after another. She lets him walk all over her. It isn’t healthy for either of them.
He's in for a rough time in prison.
Any parent or adult that would throw out all their pots and pans to please a kid are BAD PARENTS!
You obviously don’t have cats.
He was at school 8.4 MILES away from the murder scene plus he had a white Elantra.....and they KNOW he is a SOCIOPATH and Psycopath!
