A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Pennsylvania in connection with the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students whose bodies were found in a rental home near campus last month, multiple law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said Friday.
It marks the first major break in a case that has both captivated and mystified the globe.
The sources said the man was apprehended in the Scranton area Friday morning. Authorities are expected to hold a news conference on the case later Friday.
Few details have been released publicly in the gruesome Nov. 13 slayings of 21-year-olds Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, and 20-year-olds Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. The four friends, members of the university’s Greek system, were discovered across the street from campus, leaving the small town of Moscow, Idaho, deeply shaken. Relatively few details have been released about the homicides, intensifying the mystery.
The Moscow Police Department has said it was working through nearly 12,000 tips in an effort to solve the case.
An alternate, more devious route would be North into Canada, then back South at Scranton.
I am auditioning for News Broadcaster.
“A few of the parents weren’t any help either.”
UNLESS...they were used to spread misinformation. In which case, I apologize.
Yeah, that’s a real “duh.” The Spokane Airport is a lot closer.
The breaking news sidebar is a joke. Week old and 3,4 and 5 day old stories. How would we manage without the NORAD Santa Tracker still in breaking News a week later? Who is actually reading last Sundays Talk Show Thread a week later? Breaking to me means news that’s actually breaking at the moment, like this story, not week old stuff that no one is reading now.
I think you can win the job easily.
Corn Pop did it!!!
The FBI earned some much needs points on this one... Hope this is the guy too.
If they cannot tie it to or explain it as Trump’s fault, it will disappear, like the LV shooting.

One strategy is to tell the families only the information you *want* to get out.
With the connection to Lunchbucket Joe’s hometown, it’ll disappear even faster.
This is going to become the norm, especially with all the inane commentary and interference from crime show/podcast bingeing google-detectives.
It's a safe bet he was connected to one of the victims.
Really? What did they do?
Bravo!
The Law must have come upon some pretty solid evidence, being even more careful than the murderer was. Clever sumbitch, I was afraid he would get away.
Or a video cam
I’m guessing their experience, lab work and ‘keeping the lid on leaks’ skills will solve this case. We need the old FBI back...
They probably checked GPS records of cell phones that went to the house between 3 and 4 for less than an hour. Deep deep gumshoe stuff.
You know, three kind of thing they couldn’t do for the January 6 pipe bombs, or stuffing the ballot box.
Brian Kohberger.
Yeah, we were all concerned he got away. Let’s pray this is the guy.
We really don’t. They need to be disbanded.
