I disagree. I think most people who are paying attention know exactly who he is. He's a fed troll who was paid to encourage people to enter the capitol.

Did Epps explain his behavior? Why was he urging people to enter the capitol? Did this committee even ask?

His wife walked out on him—Really? Over Jan. 6? There is more to this story than he’s saying.
If Ray Epps was NOT an informant for the FBI then:
1. Why wasn’t he arrested for fomenting an insurrection?
2. Why hasn’t he been in a DC prison cell for the past two years?
3. Why was the J6 committee so sure of his innocence when there was much more evidence of Epp’s crimes than of almost any other person accused or convicted of crimes that day?
But yet so many of the people he urged on are in there. Scumbag.
That is it. With dc clowns the language parsing is close and specific.
Just as I figured. The “series of tragic events” is his 38 grandkids getting “picked on” and his wife had to move out. I read the article hoping to see what “tragedies” the America-hating Epps was suffering. Hoping for death by selfie.
Or worked for Pelosi, Obama, Cheney, Schumer, DNC directly. Or Biden or H3llary.

Many of the comments as of yesterday when the story first ran displayed that Americans aren’t buying his story.
Yeah, then how come he’s not rotting in a cell right now?
If you read the Epps interview transcript, you will see that the questioning about Epps and Feds is limited to “talk with” or “contact” and on specific dates and “work for” as opposed to “represent”, “associate with” or other more general references to collaboration.
The questioning was deliberately and carefully worded for the out.
... and the word, “asset” isn’t mentioned once.
It is possible that he is being technically truthful, in a Clinton-like manner.
He’s saying he was not an employee of the FBI. It’s possible he was working for some feds other than the FBI, or has some very “informal” relationship.
