The passage comes to mind as we close out Donald Trump’s annus horribilis, during which he supplanted Nixon as the saddest figure in post-presidential politics. The Jan. 6 committee, despite its flaws, succeeded in establishing a damning official record (largely told by his own aides) of his attempt to steal the presidency. A special prosecutor is on his case(s). His tax returns are out for all to see.
A week after a disastrous midterm election for his party and his power, he announced he’s running for president again. The party and public shrugged.

Great economy
Low interest rates
High black and Hispanic employement
Low inflation
No foreign wars
High stock market
Safe southern border
Less illegal immigrant crime
Lower crime rates

Actually Nixon was not that way, and Trump certainly is not. However, Trump squashed Jonah in about 2015 and the little worm has not gotten over it yet.
They still don’t get it. Trump isn’t a politician. He’s a businessman and as president succeeded where no politician could even come close. And the political class with their sycophants in the media couldn’t take him down in 6 years.

What’s sad is what Trump’s enemies have done to the American people. And they started long before Trump ever entered politics.
It took Trump to wake us up to how evil people like JG and the rest of the NR demons are.
Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:
Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated;
Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned; and
Finally, got control of the southern border.
Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies? Jonah you support Amicans Last. I despise you for that.
