Musk tells Tesla workers not to be 'bothered by stock market craziness'

Reuters) -Tesla Inc Chief Executive Elon Musk told employees that they should not be "bothered by stock market craziness" after the company's shares fell nearly 70% this year on jitters over softening demand for electric vehicles and Musk's distraction with running Twitter.

In an email sent to staff on Wednesday and reviewed by Reuters, Musk said he believes that long term, Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) will be the most valuable company on earth.

He also urged employees to ramp up deliveries at the end of this quarter, after the automaker offered discounts on its vehicles in the United States and China.

"Please go all out for the next few days and volunteer to help deliver if at all possible. It will make a real difference!" he said in the email.

Analysts expect Tesla to deliver 442,452 vehicles in the fourth quarter, according to Refinitiv data.

Tesla's plummeting share price has hurt the value of shares owned by the EV maker's employees. Tesla has offered stock compensation for most employees including factory workers.

The company's shares rebounded on Wednesday, following an 11% slump in the previous session on a Reuters report that the automaker planned to run a reduced production schedule in January at its Shanghai plant. The news sparked worries of a drop in demand in the world's biggest car market.

"Btw, don't be too bothered by stock market craziness. As we demonstrate continued excellent performance, the market will recognize that," he said.

"Long-term, I believe very much that Tesla will be the most valuable company on Earth!"

Electric vehicles are a complete bust.

My prediction is that vehicles will eventually be tire-less hover craft, which run on gravity, and reverse gravity. The ultimate clean air vehicle.

Let the free market prevail, and get the WOKE government nerds out of it.

EV’s are good for daily commute to work for less than 100 miles round trip. But not good for shoveling snow, interstate travel over 200 miles, travel during very cold weather. The heaters in EV’s drain the battery rapidly.

” interstate travel over 200 miles,”

Tesla has lots of superchargers set up on the interstates. A 15 minute charge gets you 200 more miles.

“The heaters in EV’s drain the battery rapidly”

Tesla says less than 1kw. Assuming 60 mph for one hour and .25 kwhr per mile without heater that is 15 kwhr.

Turning on the heat reduces the range about 7%.

Or if stuck in the snow a battery would last 2-3 days.

There was a news item during cold weather when I-95 was closed due to bad accident. People in EV’s ran out of heat in car, and were seen walking on highway asking truck drivers for shelter to get warmed up.

“There was a news item during cold weather when I-95 was closed due to bad accident.”

Many motorists ran car heaters to stay warm, were without food and hampered by vehicles abandoned on the roadway. They were left to await the clearing of numerous road bottlenecks before being able to proceed, assuming they still had enough fuel to get to a gas station. Fortunately, there were no injuries or deaths caused by the delay.

Due to numerous cars that did run out of gas, fuel had to be transported to them or else they had to be towed to a fuel source.

Then he's a hypocrite (no surprise) for taking "woke GOVERNMENT nerd's", (AKA taxpayer's) money to enrich him beyond imagination.

Money from people that may not want a Tesla or worse yet, even afford one.

I think the craziness was when Tesla was said to be worth $1.2T last year. Meanwhile both Ford and General Motors are said to be less than $50B.
