Chinese health authorities are racing to catch new mutant COVID strains, as more than a third of Omicron variants detected in the crushing wave of infections slamming the country have resulted in larger outbreaks.
Over the past three months, China has detected over 130 sublineages of Omicron, including BF.7, a variant incredibly adept at evading immunity and believed to be behind the current surge in infections.
Xu Wenbo, head of the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, said last week that China plans to track the virus centers around three city hospitals in each province. There, samples will be taken from sick walk-in patients as well as from patients who die.
Wenbo confirmed that 50 of the 130 omicron versions found in China had resulted in outbreaks.

Some reality for FR.
1) Stop thinking or talking or writing about fear. It’s so utterly pointless it boggles the mind. The virus doesn’t care if you’re afraid or if you are swaggering around saying you are not afraid. You are obsessed with fear. The virus doesn’t care about your fear.
2) Nothing works. The virus has defeated masks and it has defeated vax. Only one thing succeeded, and that success was rejected after some time passed. Evacuation of cities. NYC’s death spike in early 2020 stopped. It outright plunged, and this was pre vax. People stopped getting on subways or going to offices. The office rent did not get paid. City government recognized nothing could be funded if people stayed away so suddenly they went public begging people to return to work, and pressured companies to do away with work-from-home. Result? Presto, Covid deaths returned to NYC.
3) Money is a substance created from nothingness by central banks. To be trying to compute a death count increase or reduction as a function of impact on the economy is . . . insane? Well, not insane. Murderers don’t have to be insane.
4) It’s all about control? We’re talking about CHINA, for God’s sake. Use your heads. China has 100% control over their populace already. If they wanted more control, they don’t need a virus as an excuse, and there would be no point anyway because they are at 100%. They could just manufacture crimes and deploy law enforcement to make happen whatever they want to happen, and NO ONE, not a single person would oppose it. So put the whole CONTROL BS away. The virus doesn’t care about obsession over CONTROL, either.
5) People are dying. A lot of oldsters are dying. The virus is SMASHING societal life expectancy. If you’re young, you’re safe. And you get to spend more of your 401K quickly, because you’re not going to last long enough for it to run out.
Add-in “Vortex” somehow and you’ve got it!
Back in the military in 1966 we were taught that germ warfare was a bad idea as the virus you release on the enemy always comes back to bite you in the butt.

If Covid is really killing off Chinese as it is said, I would expect Putin to decide “All your China belong to US!” and invade.
