If he is the Democrat candidate, in California he will win.

He’ll likely be one of two democrat candidates on the ballot. When was the last time a Republican made the ballot for a U.S. Senate election?

That depends on who runs against him. Schiff is strictly L.A.; he has no following outside of the L.A. area, and that is sketchy. If he runs against a woman, or an Hispanic, he stands no chance whatsoever.

I need to explain my post #13: I was speaking of the PRIMARY, not the general election.

Correction: My post #14, not #13. Typo.

If he is the Democrat candidate, in California he will win. You obviously don't know how the California primary system works. They have a jungle primary in which all candidates of all parties participate. If no one gets a majority, there is a runoff during the general election in November. Most likely both candidates on the ballot will be Democrats.
